Oh, those 'Carousel' photos are new to me. I only have these 3 - (Sorry if I've been photo-spamming ya'll; I'm sick and I've been locked inside for the past 2 days and I'm bored out of my mind!) - Alicia

On a more humorous note...I love to annoy my oldest son so every time I watch this I call him at the end all teary and say "Billy Bigelow just went up to heaven"... :'( Then he's like "Oh God, not again" or he'll make a joke out of it. It's a pity ---
Will people still accept a Billy Bigelow played by a 44-year old actor? With a new and contemporized script ( that was already done then)?
If Les Miserables is both an artistic and a box office champ, will Fox Searchlight now show interest in a Jackman starrer-Carousel?
And will Anne Hathaway finally say YES to being Julie Jordan ( he did try to talk her into it)?

While I think Hugh might still "get away with" playing Billy (despite his advanced age ), I don't think pairing him (again) with Anne Hathaway will happen... and, though I thought Audra McDonald was wonderful, I've always pictured Julie as a blond. This is NOT a casting suggestion, but I'd love to hear him duet one day with Barbara Cook. I think the emotion in her eyes/face/voice singing with Hugh would be amazing (and vise verse). - and on a totally different note (I'm "practicing" with the new PhotoBucket) I think this is an old Red Ball shot and a couple from a Nickelodeon gig Not sure of the origin of this one, I just love it when he laughs...

That one of him laughing is from when the cast of X2 was on TRL. I don't know what he and Rebecca are laughing so hard about because James Marsden looks very serious.

Was he already filming VAN HELSING at the time they were doing promo for XMEN-2?
I also remember when he appeared at ComicCon for XMEN2 that he was wearing the same extensions.
It is amazing how often we can most often connect the Hugh timeframes by the length of his hair and the appearance of facial hair ;D

He was filming Van Helsing then. I remember in one of the movie commentaries for X2 either Brian Singer or one of the producers mentioned that they did a pickup shoot for the last seen in X2, where Scott and Logan are talking to the Professor in his class room, and that they had to shove all of Hugh's hair under a wig, which is why it looks fuller there than in the rest of the movie.

Sorry birchie! I should have clarified that. Like Ellen said, it was a show on MTV. They canceled it a few years ago but it used to be really big in the late 90s/early 2000s. They played music videos and a lot of celebrities came on there to promote movies. He was on there several times. For 'Van Helsing' - For X3 - And for 'The Fountain' (hence the chocolate fountain) - - Alicia

Thanks Alicia & Ellen. I've never been an MTV person. The only time I've watched was when I had a day & time that a certain someone would be on. Even then I wouldn't be able to tell you the name of the show. Otherwise I catch the next day video uploads & pix. Fun revisiting the pix though, and of course he always has a good time no matter where he is. > Sue

It really did look bad, Nancy. They must not have had a bald cap that day. It's a good thing it was such a short scene. - Alicia
