I've seen him flex his biceps before, but never his glute muscles...

The facial expression that earned Dali his name... ;D ... working out - even when he's not at the gym. [Aside: Do the sneakers actually have individual toe "slots" or is that just a decorative embellishment on the shoes?]

JH4HJ - Those shoes are, most likely, Vibram Five Fingers or a similar brand. Yes, they do have individual spaces for toes. They're designed to promote a more natural movement of the foot. I have a pair, and they're quite comfortable for exercising. Paula

Looks like that photo at the top was from his Philadelphia Orchestra appearance. He did look great that night. (Well, what else is new?)
Welcome back, WolvieChick! Paula, so good to "see" you again.

Otherwise, they were pretty cool. - Alicia

Thought so, too -- from his facial hair and hairstyle...and I do recall him wearing something as elegant as he did in the photo. That must have been a real treat, Ellen -- listening to him sing WHO AM I, with full orchestral backing!

It was a great evening, the topper being running into him by chance after the show at the hotel elevator. And I loved how the dressed-to-the-nines patrons of classical music were obviously charmed and impressed by his performance. But I'm glad he doesn't do these things very often--I'd be broke. Ellen

Actually Jo, the whole family was with him and several of us. Some of us even had one on one time with Hugh, Deb, Irv and Dali. His performance at the concert was spectacular. Only problem was it was too short, only 45 minutes. But they were magical minutes as always.

Speaking of running into people, as Margie and I were exiting the opening night of a play last night, I literally ran smack dab into Patrick Vaccariello, He gave me a big hug, we chatted for a short bit about his stint in London with A CHORUS LINE, and that was about it. I realized afterwards that I might have asked him (1) what he's up to next; and (2) does he know anything about HOUDINI. But when there is a huge crowd of people trying to exit a small space, you really don't have time to stop and gab. Great seeing him, though. We had had a nice chat in Philly after Hugh's show, which was when Patrick was getting ready to go to London. If/when HOUDINI does come to be, I really hope Patrick is the musical director. I think it's a safe bet Hugh would want him again as his "rock," as he once described Patrick.

Nice. I like to pretend that that little-bitty imperfection under the eye is a dueling scar. Well, he did sort of have a scuffle with that zipline. Thanks, Jo. Ellen
