LOL! Jackie it's going to be no problem at all. It's actually more simple than you think. Don't you worry. We'll have you posting photos in no time! Whenever you're ready, I'm here! :-*

Jo, let's double check the semantics again.
Forum > Category > Board > Thread > Reply That's our basic hierarchy.
"Hugh Jackman" IS a Category. This Category has six Boards: News, Les Mis, Videos, Movies (prior to Les Mis), Back on Broadway and Photos.
I will add a new Board in the "Hugh Jackman" Category specifically for The Wolverine (and each successive "full scale" movie - not a bit part like Butter or a cameo like the X-Kids film). I intend to open a new Board (in the "Hugh Jackman" Category) for Houdini (and each play after that).
So, with regard to the hierarchy - Are you saying that you'd like to see three more Categories (HJ - Movies, HJ - Theatrical, and HJ "Other") in addition to the already existing "Hugh Jackman" Category... or you'd like me to make new Boards with those names IN the Hugh Jackman Category?
Is anyone else interested in more Categories, or more Boards within existing Categories? I need feedback from more than one person before I start making any significant changes.

Valerie, You are doing a magnificent job and I am very grateful for the effort you put in to it. The way things are now work well. If I were going to alter it at all since the whole forum is about Hugh, the categories would be: News, Photos, Movies, Broadway, Appearances. Then the boards say under movies could be every movie he's ever made. Under Broadway - All shows. Other than the top 50, this hierarchy might make it easier to find exactly the subject someone wanted to find.

Valerie, You're doing a great job. :-/ It sounds like it produces some headaches though, so I hope it gets easier as time goes by. I think a Wolverine board would be great. That way there could also be different Threads on X-Men movies and things related to that world. So I guess the first Thread would be called The Wolverine: Japan Saga or whatever the official title is at this point? A Prisoners Board will be good too and I think you're right that small, peripheral roles such as Butter don't need a separate board. Maybe that Movies (prior to Les Mis) Board could get a name change to Movies (prior to Les Mis & smaller roles) Maybe a Hugh On Stage Board could be a place for threads of all his different stage work... Whatever you think looks and works the best is really what will most likely work for all of us. I don't think any of us would object to your ideas for creating and organizing this Forum. We trust your judgement! Sue

Valerie, you are indeed doing an awesome job and I will go with whatever the majority decide. For sure, we don't want it to become too complicated with categories under categories under categories. We don't want anyone getting "lost" on the forum LOL! Whatever is the simplest setup is great. I like Jamie's idea above. All that you are doing for this forum is greatly appreciated! Thank you Valerie! :P

Can somebody refresh my bad memory on how to attach a picture saved on my computer? Help! I have moved this question because it has nothing to do with the topic of the thread where it was posted. There is info on posting photos on this GENERAL Board, on this thread, specifically designated for Questions, Comments and Suggestions. Please see Reply #20 on page 2 of this thread and Reply #48 on page 4 of this thread. There are also some suggestions about sharing overly large photos in Reply #1 here: ozalots.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=2Note: the Site News thread is locked; you will need to reply here, on this thread. If the above references are not clear to you and if you still have questions, please continue this discussion here. I will help in whatever way I can.

I have still another couple of questions:
(1) How do I include an emoticon without clicking QUOTE on another message? I can't seem to find them anywhere else...
(2) Once I posted a picture ... and I've forgotten how! So sorry! Where can I find the instructions again? Can I post pictures both from my files in my laptop and from an internet source? (1) It sounds like you are typing your responses in the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the page, which is designed for "plain" (quick) TEXT ONLY messages. Try clicking on the right of the screen just below the last post which will give you more options. (2) For information on posting photos -- Please see Reply #20 on page 2, Reply #48 on page 4 and Reply #104 on page 7 of this thread. Clicking on will always reproduce the entire message. You can then highlight and delete/backspace to remove the unnecessary portion of the original post.

I see that you have to go to the top of the thread and use the "Reply" to get all the functions. No. Actually, you don't. It's one of the things I mentioned in preparation for the Upgrade. (see Reply #3 in Site News)

(see Reply #3 in Site News) Aha! Clicked quote and got the full display. Thanks Valerie. I think I'm all set now except for figuring out the embedding of videos, but pictures and quotes are enough for one day.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all your efforts with this board-it can't be easy, especially at times like this. As one technically challenged Ozalot, I am extremely grateful to you for maintaining it (and also for resurrecting it from the dead last year. hu4601 + All - You're very welcome. I'm still learning as I go, but doing the best I can. Personally, I think the upgrade is a nice "plus" for all of us. The new Avatars are looking good, the WYSIWYG Reply box is an excellent addition, there's great flexibility for adding Smileys... and I *think* overly large photos will automatically "resize" themselves with this new set up. Testing that theory now... Perfect! I had to load that photo from Legs Diamond as an attachment before, and the one of Hugh is actually a huge "wallpaper" size picture... and they both seem to fit without any extra manipulation. Fabulous. I think we're doing pretty good. If anyone is still having trouble with something - Speak up. You're probably not the only one. EDIT: Weird. When I when I'm not signed in and view this from the Recent Posts queue one of the photos disappears. If I sign in and access this thread directly, they're both there. I'm trying something different to see if I can keep both of them.

Jo, I also had a problem. I wanted to copy a couple of photos the other day and couldn't.. i thought maybe there are some new copyright issues with commercial photo sites such as Getty images...IDK Valerie, In the last few days, I have not been able to copy and paste images taken from other sites. Is this just me on my laptop or is it for this site, too? Or is that a general problem now? I had a recent Windows update ( which initially caused some problems ...but more on display, etc., features). I had tried to resolve the problems I encountered...but now it seems it is Windows itself which helped solve the problems that emerged. Sorry, I am no techie -- but could you help me...run me through on how to solve my problem. Too bad it comes at this time when there are so many Hugh events with images to report Thanks! Jo
