So many rumors on the attempts of Iger & Feige to create female variants of original male characters ( such as Magneto & Wolverine). Here's an interesting exchange on the issue in general. A debate about WOKE -- The reply is perfect! What Iger & Feige are trying to do by creating female variants (Wolverine/Magneto) of original male creations and destroying the artistic integrity. That response drew many LIKES (close to 800). Jo Replied to the Marc Foxx post --

It's at the Edit Suite that can break or make a movie successful! Post-production includes many other elements but the Edit Suite is the most key.
It's good that the pace seems to be good -- we are still 4 months from release of the film. There was an announcement of some reshoots ( some identified when editing), so they would have enough time for it.
I remember the photo-finish EDIT for Les Miserables & for The Greatest Showman, practically almost ending at the time of the world premieres.
There's good word about the movie, including from Disney's top boss ( Bob Iger) -- hopefully, everything goes smooothly now.

For whatever it's worth -- a bystander's views If there is any truth to this --doesn't Feige & Iger realize that the Fandango survey on which superhero actor is most anticipated in its survey -- the topnotcher being Hugh Jackman -- is already an excellent feedback that they want to see more and more of Wolverine, as personified by Hugh Jackman! But interesting & contentious developments, if true, on the way to making a movie Jo

For whatever it is worth -- another side story from bystander Mike Zeroh --
True or not -- there is publicity or curiousity value to this that can enhance the box office prospects!
What I find interesting is that Hugh Jackman used to be such a favorite with Joy Behar - will that relationship still hold?
On the other hand, if I were Joy Behar, I would view the "making fun for 1 1/2 minutes" as a plug for the TV show! People might even get curious about the show.

I was looking up what Emma Watts ( former top exec at Fox who was shepherding the XMen franchise before the Disney buyout, Planet of the Apes, Greatest Showman, Logan, Avatar, etc) is doing now -- not able to find anything...but unearthed a few things --
*She was the one who brought back Bryan Singer for Days of Future Past. *Asked for the reason for its success -- " I think the reason for Days of Future Pastâs success is, it doesnât underestimate what the audience is wanting or capable of enjoying".
The secret of her strong success record at Fox.
I hope that after the recent strong stockholder fight at Disney that they are more considerate with how they may want to incorporate some of their DEI messaging and that is not being rammed down the throats. I hope that Feige sees the fan reactions (if they can attend) as well as the theatrical distributors at Cinemacon presentation this week... that he knows the distributors consider the fans as a formidable factor in box office results, when they finish the Deadpool & Wolverine movie. I hope that there will be no unwelcome DEI push in the upcoming reshoots, as rumored. Maybe that is why Ryan & Hugh will be there ( presumably because Levy is being honored as Director of the Year) to show Feige how strong their influence with the distributors is!
Btw, Cinemacon ( formerly Showest) is the convention of cinema or theatrical distributors. In 2006, Hugh Jackman was honored there as Star of the Year because he had 6 film releases that year. Hugh also attended the European Cinemacon in Barcelona - I think that was the time they were pushing Greatest Showman at the conceptual stage.

If Hugh limits himself to fewer Wolverine movies ( never mind the $$$$) -- there will be more time for
*probably more artistically-satisfying indies *probably another movie musical *probably a major dramatic movie or 2 or 3 *probably limited engagements on Broadway
that is why it is satisfying to know that he has such a wide range and remarkable versatility.
Plus I would like him to have more time for himself and his loved ones... and maybe take care of himself physically as he enters his golden years!
