According to a recent report from Matt Belloni via the Puck newsletter, Deadpool 3 could potentially suffer a delay if the SAG-AFTRA strikes aren't resolved and the studios don't come to an agreement with the actors sometime soon.

It was specifically stated in the newsletter that Deadpool 3 can afford to have production halted for around a month before Marvel Studios is forced to delay the project from its May 3, 2024 release date.

The likelihood that the actors and studios will come to an agreement over the course of a month is extremely slim to none, meaning that Deadpool 3 will almost definitely be pushed back.

The SanDiegoComicCon went along, despite the lack of movie stars and other filmmakers.

Hope this augurs well for the reception of the Deadpool-Wolverine movie!

If Hugh Jackman had not been excellent as Wolverine to the admiring world...comicbook movies would not have struck gold! The success of XMen 1 set the trend for this genre which exploded. And it is because Hugh Jackman delivered a comicbook figure for the movies that people loved!

So, no Hugh Jackman delivering Wolverine... no Robert Downey as Iron Man and even Christian Bale as Batman!


This took place at ComicCon 2023 which had no movie stars around but people still came in droves. This augurs well for the movie of Wolverine with Deadpool. The interviewer said the expectation that it could be a billion-dollar movie is not without basis because the fans are very excited about the film project. For one, they feel that it is much closer to the big-blast excitement of comicbooks!

Rob Liefeld, who co-created Massacre in the comics, recently spoke with ComicBook.com and revealed that Hugh Jackman should take credit for paving the way for the Iron Man movie, which started the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.

You don't get Robert Downey Jr. without Hugh Jackman. If Wolverine doesn't land, if he doesn't work on X-Men. And I remember Fox allowing me to attend a preview of X-Men about a month before it premiered. There were about 50 or 60 people who had seen it. I flew to Los Angeles and I couldn't believe it because I had heard horror stories. It's normal. I thought, 'Wow, this movie is going to work.' They did just enough to satisfy the level of curiosity of the year 2000. The characters work, the chemistry was there, Xavier, Magneto, but Hugh Jackman because he's a stand-in for the audience in that movie, right? He arrives, they discover him, he discovers the X-Men, they tour the school. It's like it's a perfect introduction to this world.

But if Hugh Jackman, because Wolverine is the most popular character in the world at the time, if it doesn't land, I said, 'Hugh, it's you. We won't be in this comic book world unless Marvel and Fox understand Wolverine well." And he loved it. He deserves to hear it. We should tell them all the time."

Btw, in the clip, he also shares that Hugh once invited him to one of his concerts (TMTMTS) and said he had the best seat in the house.

Hugh and Ryan are both tall actors (hitting close to 6'3" or so). I wonder if Bryan Singer chose to cast tall actors for the role of Wolverine in the first XMen movie because visually-speaking, the screen tends to make tall people look less tall than they actually are. He also cast model Famke Jannsen who was hitting the scales at close to 6 ft. The originally cast-Wolverine - Dougray Scott - is 6 ft tall...and also slightly older than Hugh. Had he been able to handle the role, the height difference with James Marsden would not be too obvious.

I've seen a few photos of men on social media who seemed to have followed the current Hugh Jackman facial look -- dark hair and gray-and-white facial bair, shaped like how Hugh is currently wearing his ( which is actually a base look that is slightly trimmed & reshaped for the movie). Lol - even Dwayne Johnson is not shaving but showing off his graying facial hair.

Disney has not listed #Deadpool3 to be released in the first half of 2024, that is, which indicates that the film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman should be delayed.

The premiere date was scheduled for May 2024, soon they should announce something about it.

Understandable given the strike-related delay in filming.
