Taylor Swift is sharing her support for Deadpool & Wolverine and urging her fans to buy tickets for the Marvel Studios film starring Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds.

The “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer shared a post on social media honoring one of her closest friends in this world.

“Over the past few years I have watched one of my best friends on this planet pour every bit of his heart, soul, sweat, time, energy, jokes, pain, joy, rebellion, darkness, and magic into this film,” Swift shared on her Instagram Stories. “He’s created the best work of his life, and this film feels like an actual joy portal, a wild escape from reality, and an abs sandwich. I don’t know how he did it.”


Swift and Reynolds have a close friendship, and many could have assumed these words were directed at him, but the singer ended the praise by writing, “But that’s just Hugh for you!”

At the end of the note, Swift wrote, “Shout out to Wade Wilson, aka my godkids’ sperm donor!”

It was all fun shade on Swift’s part, showcasing the strong friendship between her, Reynolds, and his wife, Blake Lively. Swift shared a photo alongside Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy, Lively, Reynolds, and Jackman.

“These other randoms crashed the photo and we were too polite to ask them to leave,” she said before sharing a link directing her followers to purchase tickets for the film.

It’s been rumored that Swift has a cameo in the Marvel film, but Reynolds shot down the rumors recently.

“I will say once and for all that the cameo thing with Taylor,” the actor told E! News, adding, “because she’s our friend—that is not in this film.”

However, Reynolds mentioned that he thinks Swift would make a great replacement for Deadpool.

“I always do say that if anyone ever were to take over the role of Deadpool, actually Taylor would be very good,” Reynolds said. “Because that’s a superpower that I don’t know that she shows everyone too often: She’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever met.”

Deadpool & Wolverine opens in theaters on July 26 and Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman star in the titled roles. The film also stars Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova and Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox.

We've just finished watching #DeadpoolAndWolverine with the cast, who were loving the atmosphere in Hall H.
Hugh Jackman was dancing along to key moments, and Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy embraced when the crowd went wild at one point too #SDCC

They know how to please the fandom! Sharing the movie directly with the fanboys and fangirls -- there can be no better way of showing their appreciation of the love for superhero movies. Hugh Jackman is perfect for this kind of audience rapport. He is more natural with it ( maybe because he is also a live stage performer) than Ryan.

Call it fan service - I will call it better than that - it is a homage to the Fox franchise & their superheroes...and the fandom that have fully appreciated the rejuvenation of the film genre!

What is this Formula One car livery doing among the promotion & publicity campaigns of DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE??

Scrutinize if -- can you see the three yellow claws slashing on the side? Can you see the name "Deadpool & Wolverine" imprinted at the lower part of the side of the racing car?

The Alpine Team has done a one-race deal (Belgium Grand Prix aka Spa!... the drivers' favorite racing circuit) with Marvel to publicize the movie on its weekend of release, coinciding with the Belgian Grand Prix.

How did this happen -- Ryen Reynolds is part of a group of investors that recently invested in the team!

PS: I will now be scrutinizing the cars ( there will be 2 of them) during Practice 2/Practice 3/Qualifying/Race Day).

Will they win - highly unlikely

Will they be seen by many? Millions - -because Formula One racing is seen not only at its venue...but on its worldwide TV coverage! It will likely have the same market appeal - as the sports is generally pitched towards the male market ( although more recenly the female fanbase has expanded, so much so that some drivers are now treated like rockstars by female fans. But the main market would be the male demos!


PS-2-- Perfect timing! As I opened the page for following F-1 Practice 2 at Spa, the sportscasters were saying that the Alpine team has new livery -- from the usual pink&blue -- it is now on special livery of predominantly red with splashes of yellow -- symbolizing the new movie release Deadpool & Wolverine ( starring Ryan Reynolds & Hugh Jackman). The announcer actually called it Wolverine & Deadpool - ha - showing who is the more popular cultural icon ... The car bearing the D&W livery was shown close up for some time as it ran on the track ( with French driver Pierre Gazly))...and I could read clearly on each side on top of the wheels "Deadpool & Wolverine" - left & right!

Btw, Brad Pitt is at the track again, filming more scenes for his F-1 movie.
