The fanboys are reliving their dreams of seeing the film Wolverine fully costumed as they had seen him in the comicbooks.

As you can imagine, the reaction for Deadpool & Wolverine was thru the roof, as I navigated the floor of Caesar’s Palace the rest of the day, exhibitors repeatedly told me how excited they were and how they expect it to do so well.

Shawn Levy, Ryan, Hugh and the entire team have created a film that will unite fandom. The movie is pure dynamite and it will most certainly explode with excitement at the box office . It’s the right movie at the right time and I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying it. Shawn shot the hell out of this film, from everything I’ve seen, up close and personal to this CinemaCon footage, he has elevated his already accomplished skills.

Visiting the showroom floor I was fortunate to see over a dozen of what I will call “concession items” customized buckets, cups, straw toppers, the cinema’s are going to be like toy stores chock full of amazing collectibles that even casual consumers will pursue.

We gotta support movie theaters and this will help keep their doors open and their lights on in a big way. You laughed until your sides hurt in a movie theater, you cried your eyes out in a movie theater, you lost your mind over a sweeping panoramic scene in a movie theater. Anything that continues to keep them open and viable is of tremendous benefit.

Gonna be a fun summer.

‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ Unveils Sexual, ‘Dune’-Inspired Popcorn Bucket

Move over, “Dune,” there’s a new popcorn bucket in town.

Ryan Reynolds has revealed the new popcorn bucket created for “Deadpool and Wolverine” on social media Thursday — and the video is just as inappropriate as you’d expect from the R-rated superhero.

Inspired by the viral “Dune 2” popcorn bucket, the “Deadpool 3” receptacle is modeled after Wolverine’s head, but it has a comically oversized mouth you can fill with popcorn (or your movie snack of choice). Reynolds unveiled the bucket with a short video set to the epic song “Also Sprach Zarathustra” from “2001: A Space Odyssey.”



AMC Theatres declined to provide information regarding the price and availability of the “Deadpool” popcorn bucket. The “Dune 2” bucket cost $24.99 and sold out quickly due to their viral popularity. The buckets, designed like the massive sandworms that Timothee Chalamet’s Paul Atreides rides on Arrakis, even got their own “Saturday Night Live” skit. In a recent interview with Variety, AMC CEO Adam Aron wasn’t too impressed with the “SNL” gag.

“It wasn’t their best skit,” Aron said. “It was great they did it. But when I think of ‘Saturday Night Live,’ I’m going back to John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin, Eddie Murphy. I have very high standards for comedy on ‘SNL.’”

“Deadpool and Wolverine” hits theaters on July 26.
