Hugh has expressed that he does not believe in filming live shows, as he says not one experience is the same as the others.
*Boy From Oz - a group of fans, the Ozalots (See Oz a lot) put up a petition and was able to gather some 5000 signatures,IIRC, and presented it to producer Robert Fox. Unfortunately, nothing came of it. However, early on when the show was in previews, the production released a series of press reels which capture most of the production numbers. You may have to trawl the internet to find them.
*Carousel Concert at Carnegie Hall - Hugh co-starred with Audra McDonald in this centenary concert for Richard Rodgers. Bootlegs used to be available but I am not sure if it can still be sourced now. However, sometimes one can find clips of certain songs ( Soliloquy/ If I Loved You/ etc) online.
*Arena tour - I was lucky to have seen the show in Sydney and we asked the cameramen covering the show ( for simultaneous display on the big screen) if there were plans to release a video. He said he thought they would. But it never happened.
*Broadway shows -- while there is now a growing trend for some shows to do pro-shots, it has not happened to any of Hugh's Broadway shows. On Broadway, it used to be that unofficial bootlegs are sometimes available but generally hard to find unless one has a major contact. One show that NEVER got a bootleg was A STEADY RAIN - the police drama co-starring Hugh & Daniel Craig.
*TheManTheMusicTheShow Concert Tour -- one can find many fan-recorded clips of most of the numbers, but nothing official.
*Oklahoma! (Royal National Theatre revival in London, 1998) -- we lucked on this one. Director Trevor Nunn (who was at that time the Director of the RNT) took the initiative of filming the musical on a SOUND STAGE ( just like movies) for clarity of sound and image. It also allowed rehearsals between takes as well as retakes. But that was a very expensive project. IIRC, according to camera provider Panasonic, it cost US$ 4 million to film (in 1998 $$). However over the years, it has been released on home video, maybe streaming, too, and some recent big screen release. Trevor Nunn ( who also served as Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company - directed such shows as Les Miserables &Sunset Blvd) was an influential figure in the theatre scene and was able to push through with the project. Btw, Hugh considers him as his acting mentor.

Wow! Thank you for the information. I did hear that Hugh values the liveness of the show but I didn't know that he direcrly said he's not into filming the show... honestly I'm devastated!
I will have to wait for the bootleg on youtube to watch. I hope I can go to one of his shows oneday!
