Hugh Jackman Gets Into Character in First 'Three Bags Full' Set Photos

Hugh Jackman is putting on a show in the first photos from the set of his star-studded new movie Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie on Thursday (June 13) in London, England.

The movie, announced earlier this month, also stars the likes of Emma Thompson, Nicholas Galitzine, Nicholas Braun and Molly Gordon.

Based on Leonie Swann‘s popular novel of the same name, Hugh plays a shepherd who is murdered. His sheep then step up to help a local officer solve the crime.


In the photos, Hugh is dressed in character, wearing a work shirt with a cap and sturdy pants. He even had a utility belt with what appear to be bottles around his waist.

The actor was seen seemingly belting out a song while using a garden hose as a microphone. We even got a glimpse of some of the sheep that will appear in the movie with him!

Before Hugh will star in this new project, he will return to the big screen as Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine! Find out what convinced him to reprise the iconic role.

I saw this announcement on a soundtrack listing for Three Bags Full -- but I ignored it.

They are supposed to be filming in Oxford -- to the west of London.

Will they continue to film there when a pastoral landscape is no longer needed?

I wonder if this is going to Ireland for some filming as this is supposed to be an Irish story.

I can't figure out how they will portray the characters --

*George/Hugh -- real Hugh in opening scenes...but "Ghost" Hugh ( remember Ian Mcshane, the detective, in Scoop?) in following scenes after his character is murdered.

*Sheep -- I suspect the faces of the real sheep will feature the actors's faces and their speaking voices?


Of course, I am guessing --

Sounds weird -- but we will see.

Or is it part of the shepherd's kit when he is tending his sheep?

(Looked like what he wore when standing on set while awaiting filming during late autumn for Deadpool & Wolverine).

*If there is some filming happening now, Hugh is not part of it -- as he is busy with the promo tour o DEADPOOL&WOLVERINE, that will likely end by July 22 ( the NYC world premiere date) plus any appearances on talk shows before the movie opens on July 26.

*The article also says that Hugh has moved to London on a permanent basis. Not true - purely speculative. He is coincidentally filming Three Bags Full in the UK and likely to film The Death of Robin Hood also in the UK. It also so happens that Marvel/MCU movies that he might be involved in in the future, according to rumors, will likely be filmed at Pinewood Studios near London and where Disney has a longterm lease.

According to Bucks Free Press, the shooting of “Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie” has been temporarily halted because one of the main actors is sick.

The article did not say it was Hugh Jackman...but that it was a main actor who was taken ill.
