Excellent interview from the Media Junket/Press Tour. Hugh, Anne, Amanda, Eddie and Samantha! Excellent interview subjects ...and such a beautiful cast, too! www.youtube.com/watch?v=EP2ZXNLt9NY&feature=youtu.beSomething Eddie shared -- it seems that the barricade boys ( who were all experienced West End actors and had heard many versions of the song live) were so impressed when Hugh first sang Bring Him Home that they all clapped - when they were supposed to be filming...and were supposed to be fast asleep! Love the pix, thanks! Amanda looked so surprised when Hugh was singing to her. Sam looks bigger than Anne & Amanda, I thought she was teeny tiny! Was that Joan Collins in one of those pix with Hugh towards the end? Was surprised to see Sasha. Glad he's joining in the junket now. Looks like it was a fun night hope someone got at least a short video of the singing. Sue

Someone had the foresight to put the 5 latest clips together in one video, and in the proper order of where the song will be in the movie. youtu.be/6KONjG0jjFgAnother fun interview with Hugh: youtu.be/p9YvEXszEhQEnjoy, Sue Edit: The 5 clips together video is gone.

A lap dance for Amanda? Did Hugh mistake her for Barbara Walters? Great photos, Jo--thanks! Saw this on AllThatChat and couldn't resist sharing. A billboard for LES MIZ and a banner advertising a Los Angeles program on Stanley Kubrick as photographed from a very interesting angle: i48.tinypic.com/2unu8tz.jpgOh, Cosette--you need more sleep! Thanks for all the photos, everybody! Doing some Christmas shopping at a big mall, I spotted a huge stand-alone column, promoting Les Miz with a gigantic closeup of Russell Crowe on the side facing me. So I rushed over and circled around it, figuring that Hugh would be on the other side. And came face to face with--The Grinch.

From the morning interview with Lorraine Kelly -- www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/les-miserables-star-hugh-jackman-1473895>>>'I was getting into jigsaws': Hugh Jackman liked to wind down with tiling puzzles during Les Miserables filming 5 Dec 2012 12:49 X Men star also tells Lorraine Kelly how part as Jean Valjean is "definitely the biggest challenge I’ve had"
Hollywood hunk Hugh Jackman has described his role in upcoming musical blockbuster Les Misérables as the “biggest challenge” of his career – although the star did admit he enjoyed putting weight on for the part.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on ITV1’s Daybreak, the Aussie admitted playing ex-prisoner Jean Valjean in the film adaptation of the popular musical was “daunting” in every way.
He said: “For me it is definitely the biggest challenge I’ve had.
“Physically it was daunting. And vocally, anyone who knows musical theatre knows Jean Valjean is about as hard as it gets.
“And unusually for film, there were no easy scenes. There was no walk-and-talk, no dinner party scene. Every scene usually required all those three elements at once, so it was daunting.”
The Emmy Award-winning star went on to compare the rigours of the role to playing the title character of Shakespeare’s longest play.
“Jean Valjean for is me is probably up there with Hamlet or one of those iconic characters, so I was desperate to play it,” said the X-Men actor.
“But everyday there was that little bit of weight of expectations so it was challenging but ultimately thrilling.”
Jackman also explained that the film’s director Tom Hooper didn’t want audiences to recognise him in the part - for which he lost weight, shaved his head and grew a beard. But Hugh, 44, did admit that filming was more enjoyable once the pressure to drop a few pounds was off.
He said: “Tom Hooper said I ‘needed to be unrecognisable, or if people do recognise you, I want them to think you’re sick’.
“Jean Valjean was in a prison camp and the story is really about his transformation in every way.
“So we really went for it. But the fun bit Lorraine, was I put on - I think it was - 14 or 15 kilos from that day until the end, so filming was fun.”
But it would seem that Hugh may have left any Tinseltown attitude back across the pond as he admitted that he would often wind down with a jigsaw or two after a long day’s exhausting filming.
“My wife laughs at me because I was living in a little cottage down on the Thames and I'd light my fire and I was getting into jigsaw puzzles.
“So yes, this is not your general Hollywood lifestyle, but it was very much don’t talk at the end of the day because we were singing for 12 hours a day.
“But it was worth it and of course when you are on set with Russell Crowe, you know every week there’s going to be a good party, so we could blow off steam.”<<<

I wonder if he's planning to join Russell's party onstage at Joe's Pub this weekend Russell did invite him to do so a few weeks ago.

Did you watch the live stream ?? It was in the wee hours here ( from 1:30 to 3:00 am here).
Hugh looked elegant in charcoal grey suit with a black coat ... but with a scruffy look. Glad Russell was there, too. The ladies were at their finest, including little Cossette.
It was a double treat for me, as part of the ceremony was hosted by Michael Ball, who sort of confirmed that he is singing Suddenly ( he is actually due to record it as part of an oncoming album).
Leicester Square was transformed!

I had hoped she would be his guest, if Deb could not make it ( I am assuming she will be at the NYC premiere instead) -- and I am glad it did happen and she has shared this very special moment with her son.

You just beat me to it Ellen. I knew I shouldn't have watched the extra 4 times. LOL! Just beautiful isn't it. I don't know why some of the people commenting on other boards have been so reticent about the song I think it's perfect and Hugh is singing it beautifully and even those few lines just fill me with emotion. :'( 19 days more!
