There were two additional songs for Sky ( duets with Sarah) but I do not know why they were not included in the movie musical. One became a standard and here is the Wikipedia write-up Frank Sinatra sings his version here -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=BX1iKx7J1IsAnd on the distaff side, Lea Salonga interprets the song -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=TO65KQhCuAcJo

Yes, that was written for the movie. In the musical play, Sky sings "I've Never Been in Love Before" (one of my favorite showtunes), "I'll Know," "My Time of Day", and "Luck Be a Lady." Interestingly, Sky was to have a duet with Nathan Detroit, "Traveling Light." But because the original Nathan, played by Sam Levene, couldn't perform the song well, it was cut. Too bad it wasn't restored for the movie.
Most of Sky's songs were eliminated in the movie because, of course, Brando was not a singer. On the other hand, the movie's producers added a song for Sinatra as Nathan Detroit: "Adelaide."

This is the second tweet by a makeup professional on the subject ( another one tweeted a similar job offer) --
Susan P. Bellefleurþ@SusanPreston41 *Watching American Idol with Poppa, debating if I should mention that I was offered the Job on the Hugh Jackman, Guys and Dolls movie*
Can this be true ( to paraphrase Javert) ??!!!!
I am holding my breath -- maybe Fox is still talking to other major cast members and holding off making any announcements? Hugh has a relatively free schedule in the second half of this year ( Days of Future Past should be complete by June/July or so). How about Hugh and Anne -- strike when the iron is hot!!

I just checked out that SusanPreston41's Twitter and, unfortunately, it seems to be a "role-playing" account. Who was the other makeup artist who tweeted? (Maybe they were the real deal and "Susan" used that as inspiration for her RP.)

Thanks.
But I can't remember now who the other tweeter was - I think it was yesterday or the other day. I didn't post it because it had not been confirmed. I just thought a second similar tweet might have something to it.
I guess we will know sooner or later whether Hugh's comment about the possibility of his next musical being Guys and Dolls is going to happen or not.

I have a hunch that GUYS AND DOLLS will be next because Hugh and Anne were joking on set (according to him) that next time, they need to do something much lighter. That would be GUYS AND DOLLS. Barb thinks that since they have had a CAROUSEL script for some time now, that it should be done first, before Hugh gets too old, and while he has the Oscar nominee clout to get it done. I say that both musicals can be done through the male lead's "40's, so maybe they could be a one-two punch in either order. I think GUYS AND DOLLS will be next.

Guys and Dolls would be a better choice. Despite the great Soliloquy, Carousel has need for a rewrite because of the wife beating elements while G & D can just be done as a straight period piece and also has some songs from the original that weren't in the first movie - Hugh & Anne as Skye and Sarah would be great even though I would rather see Tommy & Fiona from Brigadoon!
