It also shows in how the support for his forthcoming tour has evolved.
Initially, only 2 London-O2 Arena, 1 Manchester and 1 Birmingham dates were slated in the schedule. The final schedule became 5 shows for London, 3 for Manchester ( largest performing arena in the UK), and 3 for Birmingham!

"protean" - more impressive-sounding word than "versatile" Let's compare him to Bale -- Bale is a dramatic actor who has also been Batman. He is a triple threat - see the movie NEWSIES, although he vows never to do another musical. Does he do stage work? Both dramatic and musical theatre? I think Bale did some very early work on stage -but only in one role, if I am not mistaken. And can he host events, such as the Oscars and the TONYs where part of the work is really acting out the role of master of ceremonies? Jo

The NYTimes has featured a long article on whether there should be an Oscars host or not...and pinpoints when a past performance provided just the right touch -- www.nytimes.com/2019/01/16/movies/oscars-host.htmlThe same paragraph provides a direct link to the YouTube upload of Hugh's memorable 2009 hosting.

Tamara Tunie, “Familiar” “Well, it’s Hugh Jackman, and I’m sure I can stand in the long line of many…but it’s Hugh Jackman. We have the same vocal coach, so occasionally I’d run into him as he was leaving his session and I was getting to mine, and I would just get all giggly inside—but I was cool.” Tamara Tunie is definitely a fan. I sat with her and her mother at a Tony award rehearsal that Hugh was hosting and we had plenty to chat about throughout the show’s run through.

Another person saying nice things about Hugh is Novak Djokovic. The Australian Open Tennis is on at the moment and the Channel 9 promos are using music from TGS to promote their telecasts. During a post match interview , Novak was praising Hugh and saying "The Greatest Showman" should be there to help, or something to that effect. I have no doubt that H would have been there in Federer's box and Serena's( along with Anna Wintour) if he'd been in Oz. Unfortunately RF and Serena have both been eliminated but hopefully Djokovic will be holding up the trophy for a record number of times on Sunday. He has a great sense of humour and has been copying Aussie expressions such as fair dinkum, good onya and calling people "mate" . It'd be great fun if Hugh was able to turn up unexpectedly to watch him.

This deserves to be among the many testimonials on Hugh Jackman as a person and artist! Wow - what a fantastic interview with Keala Settle, right before THE GREATEST SHOWMAN was released in December 2017! She shares so much of herself as an artist... and then gives us a few insights on the kind of wonderful, caring person Hugh Jackman is!! I had to backtrack on the interview in case I misheard what she said about Hugh Enjoy it -- better late than later ( Wish we had seen this right then! ) Hope Keala is fully recovered from the health issue (stroke?) she suffered right around the time when she sang at the Oscars. Hugh said he hopes he can bring her in as guest for TheManTheMusicTheShow! Jo

The comments of director Cory Finley are note-worthy! His quote that Hugh is an incredibly transformative actor and such a technical actor underscores Hugh's natural talent and his long & deep training in the theatre ( especially in drama and classical theatre) and how he has futher learned by working with different excellent directors.
