Has Hugh actually confirmed his participation in EDDIE THE EAGLE? If you open Hugh's Instagram account directly from the link, he adds a hashtag Showing off his surfing mode skills before he moves on to ski-jumping Jo

That didn't look like surfing to me. It was the crouch that the ski jumpers do. Nancy

Probably But his extended arms seemed like a surfer's arms. He seemed to be actually doing squats while on a ball, which many people said was very, very difficult to do. This is going to be Hugh's first sports-centric movie and he must be quite excited, given his love of sports. Jo

Just in case it's true Let the casting begin The storyline is quite dramatic and will require both acting chops and vocal abilities -- Billy and Julie? In 2009, the news or buzz was rife about the possible remake of Carousel -- here are two posts on BWW which talked of the casting possibilities then and the script development -- LOL - it looks like I have been posting about this since then Jo

In 2013, he was interviewed for THE WOLVERINE and the subject of CAROUSEL came up -- entertainment.inquirer.net/103989/hugh-jackman-fights-for-carousel-filmR.Napales is a Filipino journalist residing in LA and who was the Chairman of the Golden Globes when Hugh Jackman received his award for Les Miserables. I hope we can hear from Hugh for a current update on the project. Jo

The Bond rumors have resurfaced once again -- because Hugh recently tweeted a new image which resounds so much with James Bond fans -- startsatsixty.com.au/entertainment/did-hugh-jackman-just-say-the-words-everyones-been-waiting-to-hearAnd I thought I was the ultimate James Bond fan !! I did not make the eye-catching connection except for the martini The martini connection ( "shaken, not stirred " which James Bond/Sean Connery uttered in the very first Bond movie DR. NO-- I thought Hugh was simply teasing ) But the length of the video of " 0.07" seemed a more deliberate and much broader hint!! Ahem! Jo

The UK Daily Mail speculates about it. But is also reports that the Bond producers have been working hard to retain Daniel Craig in the role. www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3394920/Hugh-Jackman-hints-James-Bond-enjoys-iconic-character-s-favourite-drink-months-revealing-d-approached-role.htmlCheck out the feedback section - quite a few oppose the idea. One reason is because the role should be portrayed by a Brit, since James Bond is a British icon. I think very few know that Hugh carries a British passport as well! He is known as an Aussie but he once admitted to a Brit radio show host that he does carry a dual passport. Also, two former non-Brit actors have portrayed the role. George Lazenby is an Aussie like Hugh while Pierce Brosnan is Irish. Hugh himself has portrayed British characters -- in Kate and Leopold, in Sccop, in The Prestige, and in The River. Although it is probably very unlikely to happen, unless Daniel is really intent on not going back to the franchise. I wonder if he and Hugh have been communicating? Jo

Yeah, even Hugh thought he was about to film UNBOUND CAPTIVES early in 2010. Looks what happened--or rather, didn't happen.

And have they even gotten the funding and the distribution arrangements to get the movie back on pre-production status? The last time there was some talk, it was Madeleine Stowe who kept insisting she has obtained the funding and was ready to start -- but that was years ago. I remember that the last time Hugh talked about it publicly was when Katie Couric interviewed him when he was doing A STEADY RAIN ( circa 2009). Hope Ms. Stowe is not the one floating the rumor once again smiley-rolleyes010
I doubt Robert Pattinson would still like to portray a 17-year old.
No news that it has been greenlit at all.
Plus the two priorities on Hugh's 2016 filming schedule are WOLVERINE 3 and GREATEST SHOWMAN ON EARTH, both of which have already been assigned release dates, March 3, 2017 and December 25, 2017, respectively. WOLVERINE 3 is a much-anticipated movie in the franchise...while Hugh has already talked about doing SHOWMAN in 2016 with an Aussie director during Broadway to OZ.

The Daily Mail-UK has reported that Daniel Craig has finally said goodbye to the James Bond role, despite lucrative offers for two more films. www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3597822/I-m-007-Craig-tells-Bond-movie-bosses-Actor-turns-68m-deal-two-films.htmlThis has yet to be confirmed, but The Daily Mail usually gets most of its reported buzz right. The betting is that Tom Hiddlestone is the most likely candidate as the new Bond, assuming that Daniel cannot be persuaded once more to return to the role. I have been a Bond fan since the books by Ian Fleming were first written and Sean Connery has always been my quintessential James Bond. Not sure about Hiddleston - not my idea of the physicality and manly appeal of James Bond. I wonder if Hugh would be approached as well if they need to recast the role? Jo

I guess they're on a blonde kick now. Well, Hiddleston's a good actor at any rate. Would rather see Hugh in that tux, of course.
