Ah, good memory. I'd forgotten about that occasion and that it was at Blenheim Palace.

I sort of remembered it because at that time, I had wondered where at Blenheim Palace could that big bash have been held. I have been there twice ( part of the tour of this beautiful part of England) - but maybe I don't remember if they had a big ballroom for the occasion. October would have been a bit cold to have held the event in the famous beautiful grounds of Blenheim ( gardens designed by the famous Capability Brown).

Although of course modern times have allowed private functions to be held there now --

In case you missed reading the Variety article on Fox Chairman Jim Gianopulos --

I am reposting some excerpts that relate to Hugh and some of my personal observations :

Hugh Jackman, who soared to stardom playing Wolverine in Fox’s “X-Men” franchise, says international audiences have always been important to Gianopulos. He remembers smoking a cigar with the studio chief in producer Lauren Shuler Donner’s backyard right after the first “X-Men” came out.

“He told me that careers go through peaks and troughs, it’s important for an actor to be mindful of their international profile,” recalls Jackman. “He said there have been actors who may no longer pop in America, but who have a big enough international profile to still get movies made. I’ve always been mindful to promote my movies globally.”

Hugh has always been seen as very hardworking when it comes to promoting the international side during film releases. Also, his solo film The Wolverine rested not only on his name for solo top casting, but was among international hits which developed a foreign-based story, with an international cast. Plus Hugh's deft understanding of how social media works ( as well as his intuitive background of mass communications), a phenomenon which knows no boundaries ( nationality or demographics) has parlayed his image into more of a universally-recognized and well-admired actor! He probably also appreciates how technology and the internet have made international audiences well-aware of his career directions and activities.

Look at how he is drawing attention to the movie PAN ( which is a publicity-shy film project supposedly by Joe Wright's wishes) and at his own participation in the movie

I was quite concerned when that tweet went out. I sent a tweet asking him to follow-up to reassure us that he's OK. <please> Nothing so far.

From the voice in the background, they had not really taken off ( there was " Have a nice flight" message at the end)...but this explanation is more reassuring.

Thankfully, it turns out the fog is a result of the rapid change in air temperature in the cabin once the in-flight air conditioning is switched on for takeoff.

I knew I have had a similar weird experience some time ago which also happened before takeoff - but it was only wisps of smoke, not like the fog in Hugh's plane. Maybe it was because First Class is made to feel colder - LOL! I think they do not turn on the airconditioning until much later now ( compared to the past) maybe for energy-saving purposes?

Movie star Hugh Jackman has a muscular build that likely makes even the world's top athletes want to hit the gym. It's a given that the man best known for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men movie franchise can lift a lot of weight.

This takes it to another level.

Jackman shared this video of him deadlifting 180 kilograms—roughly 396 pounds—with relative ease, and perfect form. The video cuts out after four reps, but it looked like he could have gone for several more.

Not bad for a 45-year-old man.

It's the infinity pool of the Skypark that tops the Marina Bay Sands hotel towers - 55 storeys over the city of Singapore.

It must be a bit cold that high up on a building, although Singapore has an equatorial average temperature.

I'm guessing -- can this be for a future spread on VOGUE magazine? The last few times he was featured in a lengthy way --

*In 2003, right before TBFO opened.

*In 2006 (?), when he was the cover story for the defunct Men's Vogue

*In 2009, for the AUSTRALIA cover story

*In 2009, for the theatre feature on A STEADY RAIN

*In 2011, when there was a series of photos around the theatre district for BACK ON BROADWAY.

*In 2012, for the LES MISERABLES feature story.


I wonder - he doesn't have any movie to promote which merits a major feature -- could be it for his work in the theatre now that THE RIVER is to open soon? I see the plaid shirts on the rack -- didn't Dominic West, the male lead in London, wear them for The River? Plus the room looks like the dressing room for a theatre - maybe CITS - except Audra is still in residence?

Or could it be a write up on his social advocacies?

Maybe it is for another magazine but since there is no major movie forthcoming, that doesn't sound likely.
