It seems Hugh is a keen photographer - not so much for artistic expression but more to share some daily moments or the occasional special events. His last three tweets/photos --

Those pancakes look yummily like they might be from Bakehouse, a favorite place of Hugh's which was featured on "Toni On NY." Coincidentally while Toni and her crew were filming, Hugh popped into the restaurant's kitchen. Darn it, now I'm hungry.

The one of him at the gym freaks me out. That's major dedication.

I think Hugh is a very responsible person and wouldn´t do anything to damage his health. I am sure he has a bunch of people who understand their job to advise what he can do.

He's a big boy and knows how to take care of himself. He goes for regular medical tests while in training, and so far so good. Of course, he could run into trouble down the road, especially as he ages, as I'm sure he's well aware. Hopefully DoFP is his last hurrah (growl?) as Wolvie, and he'll no longer put such strains on his body.

I agree, Jo. I've often wondered how he can possible ingest all that food, eating so often. Six meals in 8 hours (between 10 am and 6 pm) means you stuff yourself when the last meal is not even halfway digested... I know MY stomach would call out a serious halt! And those veins? Worrisome, specially since they seem to have protruded suddenly in the last few months. Remember how there was only ONE vein in his right arm that looked really sexy, for years and years? Then suddenly... I don't know. Like someone (I forget who) commented before on the Forum, not very attractive. And they are probably not a sign of great health, either, but rather a sign of overdoing it... I, too, hope he uses his incredible discipline to stay within more ordinary boundaries... Particularly because as you said, Jo, the problems may not show up today, but down the road there might be serious health issues. We want Hugh around and performing until he's old and gray, when he's truly old enough to be 'old and gray'. Alma

Not to belabor the point, Alma --
But I wonder if this is one of the main reasons why Deb wants him to take a long, long rest! Maybe to "ground" him partly from too much stress on his body!
Okay - hope the horizon looks excellent for Hugh to look at, after his rest --
*Back to Broadway - in HOUDINI
*Back to movies - in a variety of choices! Maybe if Russell lets him take a peep at his own historical drama version of what happened at Gallipoli, maybe a thriller/action movie, maybe another film musical, maybe a romantic drama ( oops...he hasn't done any of those except for The Fountain), maybe even a biopic -- so many avenues he can explore!
*Back to the road to an Oscar!

I'm sure it does, Jo; bona fide trainers know that's pretty important. (I've had a Dexa-scan, too, but to check bone density.) Hugh has said many times that his job at the gym was basically working the desk and signing people up for memberships. But I guess even in his skinny student days he was drawing (presumably female) "attention" away from the buff trainers, LOL. I still find it very difficult to sympathize with anyone who has a problem keeping weight on. Ellen

How meta would that have been if it had been part of the butter-sculpture contest in BUTTER? It blows the mind! Ellen

Monsieur Jackman should be awarded un medal de la Republique *for being l'ambassadeur extraordinaire for French tourism! *for his outstanding portrayal of the quintessential hero of French literature, Jean Valjean! Jo Totally agree, Jo, hahahaha! And dig that hilarious translation. Alma

Other than for promo ( premieres in Paris or Cannes or Deauville for one of his early Australian movies) or filming trips, Hugh does like going to France. *There was a St. Tropez trip with the kids a few years back. *I also remember seeing a photo of Hugh with Deb on another trip (Paris). I wonder if this was the same trip when he said he went to get a nice piece of artwork for her to celebrate an anniversary or a birthday? *Then there was that road trip with the family through southern France, before he started filming Les Mis. When he got excited (and had a selfie) the first time he saw a road named after Victor Hugo ( only to find out later on that most towns or cities honor Victor Hugo by naming a street after him ). Too bad he lost out on getting the lead for DA VINCI CODE ( he was the favorite of author Dan Brown for the part) - if I recall right there were filming locales in France in that movie. This scene from DAYS OF FUTURE PAST was supposed to have happened in Paris, when they crashed into the Paris Peace Accords meetings. Note the famous Louvre painting of De la Croix of LIBERTY LEADING THE PEOPLE ( which partly inspired Victor Hugo to write Les Miserables) -- but the filming actually happened in French-speaking Montreal Jo

Quoting from Vanity Fair: "De Montmartre au Louvre, un duo de selfies pour dire au revoir à la capitale. Hugh Jackman serait-il le plus sympathique des touristes ?"My answer: "Bien sûr!" ...and that's nearly the extent of my high-school French...Hahahahahahaha Alma

I wonder if he knows that France led the box office receipts in continental Europe for DAYS OF FUTURE PAST...and made second place for THE WOLVERINE ?
