Confession time!

When I first saw BackOnBroadway --

it was such a thrill to hear his voice singing Oh What A Beautiful Mornin' from the wings...

then he appeared on stage and continued parts of the song.

But as I followed his movements on stage -- it seemed to me that he was searching for someone down to the first rows of Orchestra... then I got nervous when I saw him look at me for maybe 2 seconds

But I knew..

that when he does the serenade to a lady member in the audience


that he would zero in on me -gasp!

Which he actually did!

What an experience - Hugh holding my hand as he kneeled in front of me and continued singing his second song.


Unforgettable!

He sings to the audience.

Hugh projects a more cocky but charming Curly -- maybe more what the original creator of the story and the original composer of the musical intended portrayal? You'd know he would be the flirty and cocksure cowboy... who becomes unsure as to how he could win Laurey?

He sings to the other characters in the play


Hugh is the much better and natural actor, if I may say so.
