It's Hugh who is sharing this whimsical song about a little boy and his Dad!

September 16th is the 213th anniversary of Mexican Independence. Great excuse to share some wonderful melodies: First, some SYMPHONIC music; the stirring "Huapango" by Moncayo. I think you'll enjoy the visuals in this video. Plus at the end, there's "La Bamba", the famous folk song from the coastal state of Veracruz (in our special thoughts this weekend because it is being pounded by torrential rains courtesy of Hurricane Ingrid in the Gulf of Mexico...) Yes, you are familiar with the phrase "La Bamba" because "...when my baby smiles at me I do the Samba... and La Bamba..." www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERqiLiH3PqoSecond, probably the most internationally known song, here with André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra in the National Auditorium in Mexico City: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQJTuRJS8OIAnd last, I just HAD to include a lively polka from my home state of Nuevo León, performed by members of the Compañía Titular de Danza of our State University: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GL5vEaeuWoIIf you have eclectic tastes in music, I'm sure you'll enjoy! Alma ¡Viva México!

Paul McCartney's new single appropriately called "New" which is off his album (also called New) which will be released Oct. 15th in the U.S.: (sounds very "Beatles 1967" to me!) www.paulmccartney.com/Nancy
