He looked grim in the entire commercial Are racing drivers always grim underneath their helmets They are usually serious ( when driving), occasionally explosive, funny or drole, maybe grim when in ( whcih a real head-to-head combat ( which could lead to a crash)...and glorious...overtly grateful to their engineering team... after a win Btw, Hugh is great giving the voiceovers for his ads. Some commercials use only the face and body of the model, as they may not have the right voice (timbre, appeal, ability to act) for the ads. Montblanc is lucky because Hugh also possesses the ability to look aristocratic, which is a look that could be identified with their product line. Jo

Just LOVED this. Alma m.youtube.com/watch?v=fe2zctWM0s8&feature=youtu.beWhen trying to post this link, for some reason it removes " https:// " from the beginning. Add it on to make it complete, please! It's the promotional video for the 10th issue of PROJECT Magazine, which was also posted on Jackman's Landing. Just GREAT.

I was at our most upscale department store the other day and noticed that the large Montblanc boutique has been relocated to a much more prominent place ( it used to be occupied by Cartier) and was much larger in size. But what struck me is a more than life-size new publicity material featuring Hugh -- I looked at it again -- it seemed a little different! Because this time, the MONTBLANC Ads are now carrying the name of HUGH JACKMAN on the ad copy! I think I did not see that when Hugh was first featured in publicity material at the boutique. It seems they are now capitalizing on his fame to boost the endorsement strength! There was another one -- an older one but it also now carries the Jackman name -- it was an ad for the Meisterstuck pen! Not very sure -- but I think this was the second ad : Jo

This looks like he is promoting MONTBLANC in this cover story?

Not many people know that he can indeed do juggling tricks! Do you remember when he juggled lit torches on Jay Leno's show?

Yes It goes way back when he did part-time jobs as a clown when he was still in school. He said he used to juggle eggs for kid parties. Jo

Whoever thought of this perfect holiday ad deserves a big bonus! THE GREATEST SHOWMAN has the spirit of spectacle to evoke the Christmas season. Barnum is known for his salesmanship and his showmanship! Hugh Jackman can sell most anything on this planet -- from heroes with claws to singing-convicts to a magician who replicates himself to selling t-shirts ( with DNA) for $ 25,000....and making even the Oscar ceremonies a wonder to behold! What a perfect confluence of positive factors to sell an ad! Very Barnum-like!

I think it's tacky. It demeans the film.

Aha, Montblanc is tacky. It "demeans" the movie? Are you kidding me?!? This is insulting towards Montblanc and for what this brand stands for!
I agree with Jo, it's a perfect tie-in. The spot is a typical holiday season ad, combined with movie scenes. It's nothing wrong with that and certainly doesn't demean anything. These aren't any cheap products that you can buy in every supermarket- that would demean the movie, Montblanc products certainly not. I consider your comment as an affront. Seriously.

To each his own The Greatest Showman will not be the classic movie musical that we know. The movie itself is doing major innovating -- the use of contemporary music to sell a period piece, the highly stylized choreography reminiscent of modern MTV, even the costumes are said to evoke modern choices. Yet the story takes place in the mid-to-late 19th century! Barnum was known for his innovativeness ( which the ad highlights, too) and that spirit together with his work ethic made him a cultural phenomenon of his time. The Montblanc ad actually evokes the Barnum spirit and ties it in with the values that they offer to their customers. Just like Barnum - they are offering customer satisfaction through their product innovativeness and craftsmanship! Each one reinforcing each other I do not want THE GREATEST SHOWMAN to present a vision of being a relic of the past! Er...unlike some of the period dramas openly seeking Oscar glory ( a bit dull!) ... I want it to tell us a story of a man's indomitable spirit of creativity and hard work but laced with the joyous mood that success brings to those who never thought they should be like everybody else! I'm not talking about the product specifically. I just object to marketing any product with a film.

http://instagram.com/p/Bd-yNuLjDOn And Montblanc must be so elated to have Hugh Jackman as their brand ambassador, given his current popularity with the movie ( and music) industry Hey, is this also a hint that Hugh is coming to China soon -- prior to the opening of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN there on February 1 Jo
