No one has heard of the words "cellphone", "twitter" and "Instagram" during the time of Phineas Taylor Barnum, yet Jo, This is the longer hair I was referring to. In that other pic you posted (in costume) it didn't look like he had gotten the hair done yet. Nancy

Not to belabor the point -- but it still looks arguable. In his most recent Instagram post ( with Ariana Grande), he must be sporting his real hair here -- http://instagram.com/p/BN0pCc3Dnsj

On a side note, there must be a huge industry that designs and supplies costumes and makeup ( wigs, included) for the entertainment industry ( movies and theatre primarily)!

His real hair is cut tight in the back and the pics of him on set with the phone show length in the back. Obviously he's grown out more of a sideburn and I think he has his real hair combed over on the top for the Barnum look.

And yet Barnum never looked like how Hugh looks like in his set photos. Biopics sometimes do not show too realistic physical portrayals -- but there are occasional very strong similarities to the real person being portrayed. These are Hugh's latest photos -- front and back, for the media junket for LOGAN.

I think he is wearing a full wig for the part. Jo, we'll just have to agree to disagree. Nancy

No problem -- I am not categorical about it. That is why I said it is arguable He doesn't even look remotely like P.T.Barnum Maybe they would want him to wear additional hairpiece because his contemporary look is too modern for the 19th century? On another note -- Hugh seems to be straddling between this two passion projects these days. He has just attended the media junket in NYC for LOGAN ( the hype is now becoming overwhelming !!) and on other days, he is filming the Barnum biopic. Two completely different personas, with completely different hairstyles

Is this a film prop? Maybe not ... It says 20TH Century Fox ( not Ringling Bros, Barnum & Bailey )

Lol -- that really is his chair! I have forgotten that he is filming a musical! Even if he is acting and lipsynching to the pre-recorded song, it must take quite a few takes to get it perfect. In Les Mis, double-digit takes were the general rule! ...But why is he not in costume

Which is why it was really much more pragmatic to film the movie in the tri-state area...than Australia

Zendaya ( "Zen-day-uh", as we have just been told in an interview ) -- is supposed to portray a trapeze artist with whom Philip, Barnum's assistant and Ringmaster, has a romantic interest on. Her legs are almost as long as Rockette-lineup dancer Hugh Jackman Jo
