This is Ashley Wallen --  He has worked with Michael Gracey before ... and Hugh Jackman, too  You remember the famous Tokyo Hotel dance video for Lipton Tea ? That was their first collaboration together. Interesting that initially during the Greatest Showman film project's progress, Michael was also supposed to do the choreography work...but he later made Ashley in full charge of this aspect. They also asked Daniel Cloud Campos, another choreography awardee to choreograph The Other Side ( he played the bartender) and Rewrite the Stars. Jo |

 The effort into producing this number so faultlessly is not all that well known. They reheased EVERY DAY from the time that the rehearsals ( a month from filming) started. It is very intricate - the lyrics are almost tongue-twisting, the choreography of the bar activity after they had agreed to be partners was perfect and eye-popping, the singing with the dancing and acting motions( only triple-threats can deliver it), the tradeoff exchange between the new partners was precise. Not very well-known...but this was the first song from the score that Hugh introduced to the public ( not This Is Me, which he introduced during Broadway To Oz) -- he debuted it with a singing partner when he went for the second round of concerts (BackOnBroadway) in Turkey. The Other Side has the distinction of being the song that fully advances the plot ( although From Now On is not a distant second). Jo |

And assisted by Broadway actress Keala Settle. *On the other hand, the song is arguably more famous than any other production number ( song and dance), maybe except for "The Greatest Show" (but the lyrics of the former seemed more appropriate), from a musical on a global basis. Many fans have actually recorded their versions of FROM NOW ON. *There was already a precedent in tying up a movie musical song and FROM NOW ON to a hopeful return of the theatre - remember the recent version performed by actors on the street of the West End/South Bank in London. Their musical call for the return of the stage was very well-performed. There has been no mention of Hugh Jackman for any participation ( no, we are not expecting him to sing with his hat on and then to leap on a running train) -- maybe to do the introduction? But it would be wonderful if the response is worldwide! For one, this might also call the attention of future overseas tourists! To visit NYC and to see a Broadway show  Jo |

And if this is her top 9 of 2020, one would assume the photo of her with a baby means she had one last year! 😂 I think the mishay and Hugh pic was from the end of the concert tour where he had a beard...Mexico perhaps? That’s Deb and Hugh PR rep Michelle ( blanking on her name.... I think it’s Michelle) I don’t think that’s mishays baby. Just speculation but I think I’ve seen other pics of her with someone else’s newborn... maybe a sibling’s. |

Re the beard - yes, that must have been after the 2nd Mexico show where he showed growing facial hair. At that time I remember speculating that this was because he was going to start filming REMINISCENCE very shortly. He was probably giving the makeup people an option on the look of Nick Bannister ( who is supposed to be on the scruffy side... looking "Bogart-like"- as Hugh describes his character).
