Aw, you can tell how much that song still means to him. It brings back great memories, too, of sitting in the orchestra section of the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in early Sept. '06 as the gossamer fabric of the Australian flag slid over our fingertips during that number in the arena production of TBFO.
Thanks, Sue.

Wonderful video! Thanks, Sue smiley-signs101
Ellen -- I do remember touching the flag as it passed over our heads, singing Peter's anthem, and waving my arms when Hugh sang that number in Sydney. It does get to you, even if you are not even an Aussie!
Hugh's voice is still the stage voice from TBFO!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: work is a four-letter word that interferes with life. What did he do, Carol? I presume talk about the Empire State Building lighting and Australia Day? Ellen

Thanks, Carol, for letting us know the substance of his segment.
I've never been to the Plaza for Today Show-related events, but it looks like a zoo on TV. Probably best to watch it live from the comfort of home or record it for later viewing.

Ellen, thanks for pointing out his "promotion", hahahaha! I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. You don't miss a thing. And thank you, Sue, for that awesome video of I Still Call Australia Home. I get goosebumps every time I hear Hugh singing that song. And for the Today show segment! Thanks to you too, Foxie (Carol?) for the alert and to you, Jo, for the tweet with the lovely pic. Nice start to a Monday. <hug> Alma

Carol, thanks for letting us know about the Today show. We record it daily to zoom through later, but hadn't looked at it yet. Tamron Hall was really charmed by both of them. I had to laugh at Hugh's aspirations to be the next Regis. Carol

MSN-Online has Hugh on Home Page, Entertainment Section --
The reporter must have been color-blind - LOL!
Ivanka seems like a good friend. I remember seeing her coming out of the stagedoor for Back on Broadway ( she was also in the show, and Hugh gave her a shoutout).
