Thanks for unearthing the clip -- certainly brings back great memories It actually ended in Perth, where WAAPA alumnus and Perth erstwhile student resident Hugh Jackman once lived -- maybe the end-of-show clip was meant for Adelaide residents only. Adelaide is in Canberra ( capital of Australia). In the Perth performances, Hugh -- *Included students from WAAPA to be part of the show *Repriced the show, so it can be more affordable especially to the students. Jo

Jo Actually Adelaide is the Capital city of the state of South Australia-nowhere near Canberra which you correctly stated is the capital of Australia, but a much smaller city than Adelaide.

This is so silly, and not really Hugh-related BUT . . .
Do you remember the Aussie runner/track star who gave "Peter" the giggles during the TBFO tour? We had a video of him tearing down the track. I kinda need it for a joke for a friend of mine who does not believe that sometimes professional athletes run "loosey goosey" in televised events. Do you know what/whom I am talking about?

Possibly Matt Shirvington, 100metres sprinter. He is now a TV presenter for Channel 7.

"Peter" had such a case of giggles! First/only time I've ever seen Hugh (almost) "lose it" on stage.
Thank you very much for his name.
Hope he does his TV "presenting" from behind a desk.

Do you know what/whom I am talking about? 😂 What was it that gave Hugh the giggles - did “Peter” ask Matt if he ever ran “commando?” 😂 Backstory: During the Boy From OZ tour (2006) I was in Sydney. There were some sports games going on and "Peter" would occasionally give updates, scores, etc. The evening following Matt Shirvington's spectacular run he got a bad case of the giggles - first/only time I've ever seen Hugh nearly "lose it" on stage. "Did you see Matt run today?" (pats heart) "I mean, did you SEE him?!?" (wipes forehead) He went on and on about it, but didn't really *say* anything. The audience was in stitches - applauding, cheering, jumping out of their seats going "Whoot! Whoot!" - and these were both men and women. I had no idea what it was all about - until I caught the sports portion of the late night news back at my hotel. Skip to 0:34 Ignore the kid (he knows nothing - didn't even spell Matt's last name right)

Any time, Nancy. Any time. I wish there was video of "Peter" - I've never seen him so giddy. . . . and now you know why.

Yet -- if you have already been monitoring B'way goings-on when TBFO-Bway was still in rehearsal ( August 2003) -- On the defunct but BWW forerunner chat board called Bway.com -- people were agog about what was supposed to have happened on the 1st day of TBFO rehearsal -- that Hugh came to work commando...and that they had to pass smelling salts to the ladies around The rumors spread to ATC -- and one ATC regular said he decided to verify it. he went to where they were rehearsing and waited for Hugh to arrive. When Hugh arrived, he deliberately bumped into Hugh. His conclusion - maybe so, maybe not After all these years -- maybe it wasn't true at all Jo
