I'm surprised that's OK with the company insuring the movie. Then again, Tom Cruise hung onto the door of a moving airplane. I guess insurance regs are not that cut-and-dried anymore.

Francois Auduoy is in charge of Production Design for WOLVERINE 3 ( also for THE WOLVERINE).
This is an interesting image. Among the local articles in the past was the mention of scenes in " the countryside with corn" -- maybe it will be used for the movie for some action shots?

Patrick Stewart is interviewd on British TV...and he says WOLVERINE 3 may be his last appearance in the franchise -- www.itv.com/news/calendar/update/2016-08-09/new-wolverine-film-probably-the-end-of-the-franchise-for-sir-patrick-stewart/Check out the clip. Patrick Stewart did add the gravitas that allowed the franchise to start as the first serious comicbook hero movie together with Ian Mckellen...and of course it was made a smash hit with the discovery of a new actor who gave cinematic life to Wolverine! It seems fitting that their last team-up would be in this last Jackman XMen movie! I am going to miss that cinematic relationship as much as the portrayal of Wolverine by Hugh. On a side note, no matter how good an actor James McAvoy is, he can never match the patrician air and charisma of Prof Charles Xavier, as portrayed by Patrick Stewart! Patrick Stewart's voice alone, with his measured British accent, commanded so much authority in all the XMen films he was associated with. I cannot imagine Jean Grey in the person of Famke Janssen ever giving the same respect and admiration for the Professor had James McAvoy been made to look very much older to portray him. Jo

The beard seems to have been trimmed. Is filming close to wrap day ? He also looks very tired ( maybe too many difficult and protracted action scenes?? ). Hope he gets a good break after this film project before he moves on to the next! Jo

But he continues his physical regimen without let-up ( early morning runs now complement his gym sessions?) , as the R-rated movie is up for some heavy action-oriented scenes. Hugh has two stunt doubles listed in the cast and crew IMDB info. It could very well be that the projected R-rating is a reflection of the action and violence that might be portrayed on screen. Someone who says there is a leaked script summary somewhere suggests that the movie could be a combination of OLD MAN LOGAN, DEATH OF WOLVERINE and WEAPON X ( which have all been speculated on mainstream and social media) and the utmost secrecy surrounding the project seems to signify that the film will be such a big surprise ( almost!) and a big delight for comic book and superhero movie fans! Interesting how someone has already noted how both critical appreciation and sentimental farewells ( for both Hugh and Patrick) may very well be the hallmarks of this last Wolverine/Jackman movie. And he also noted that he isn't surprised that " a parade " is already in the works to give Hugh ( as Wolverine) the proper sendoff I will join that one, even if it is only online I wonder how many times each fanboy will see this movie when it comes out -- it could be ( hopefully) a very long parade Big question : Will they wrap this week or next ? Interesting that when the March 3, 2017 release date was announced for WOLVERINE 3, that people thought it was not a good omen to open a blockbuster in late winter. But then DEADPOOL came ( in late February 2016) and that proved the theory of movies-being-buried-in-winter-will-not-click wrong! It seems that being the first blockbuster action movie for the year ( which WOLVERINE 3 will be) could be an excellent strategy, as the pent-up expectations of fanboys would be met first by the first superhoro movie to be released during the year... and that there is still no comicbook movies fatigue that has set in at that time of the year ( compared to late July-August screenings).
Did FOX hit on a novel and successful strategy for releasing its tentpoles ?

I was trawling MSN for the day's news and basically sports stories -- and ... whoa...Hugh's photo ( and speculations surrounding it) is among the current topics! Third page on top newsmakers for the day -- www.msn.com/?ocid=edgspIf I were Fox, I would begin the publicity angle partly from this seemingly wide fascination with the message of that Instagram photo They're getting reams and reams of mentions of WOLVERINE 3 without even lifting a finger! Somebody involved in film-making posted this tweet --
Additional tweet from him --
Have they wrapped? Unless there's more work to do outside New Mexico, this could be the wrap date indicated by James Mangold.

I wonder how Hugh felt when the film wrapped? It must have been both a sentimental moment as well as an optimistic feeling about where his "new" career will take him. I kind of share the sentiment, too. I discovered him before he was cast as Wolverine when I saw him in London in OKLAHOMA! in the spring of 1999. He must have been going to the various auditions for the role at that time ( including, as he narrated, leaving during the matinee to run over presumably to nearby Soho where the entertainment business has its heart). It was after his run in Oklahoma! that he eventually learned he was going to inherit the role from Dougray Scott. And he went to Canada for that first wearing of the " adamantium claws" What a memorable 17 years! Four team movies, 3 solo spinoff movies, 2 well-received cameos! And innumerable magazine covers Thank you, Hugh Jackman !! Jo
