If one is not a British citizen, isn't the knighthood just honorary? That's what I've always thought. Has that policy changed?

Yes, it is honorary, as far as I remember. Even Aussies who get honorary knighthood are not referred to as Sir. And Kevin will still be Mr. Spacey I wonder if Hugh will ever be considered for honors, as he also carries a British passport? Jo
