Hey, the overseas markets know better www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=pan.htmWaiting for big releases in China and Japan...and maybe South Korea! As of now, Australia is leading the pack. I also hope that the UK response will be very strong -- they do own the tale of Peter Pan

I have posted the Nirvana song elsewhere earlier -- www.youtube.com/watch?t=2&v=BImwyyCm6j8But going back to the Feedback section -- many presumably young people ( likely of the fanboy variety) have said that this song was awesome, even if it was very random. What is great to read is that so many have said that they actually liked the movie when they saw it ( of course the Nirvana song was the most awesome part, even if the movie is not to their liking). So the movie has appealed to the young ( not too young) demos! Will the movie get some delayed patronage? The critics certainly did everything to destroy any interest in this movie Keep scrolling down and keep pressing on "Show more comments" - especially those posted in the last 2 days or so. Jo

I just saw Pan and thought it was a really fun movie. Even my husband said it was entertaining and children under 14 should really like it. It makes me wonder whether those critics don't like the director for some reason and are taking it out on this lovely movie.

Bonjour again I found a cinema with PAN in the original English version but it's showing the film at 8 pm -- I'm too chicken to risk trying to find a taxi at 10:00 pm. Yesterday it took us 35 min to find one at the taxi stand of a train station. It's even worse when hailing one at a busy street. Besides, the weather is too cold for me, plus it is rainy here in Paris in October. Autumn is not as gloriously colorful as New England, but there are some surprising bursts of autumnal colors (yellow, orange, burgundy) by the Seine & in the countryside. French cuisine is making me have too many cheat meals - today, at Printemps in one of the most beautiful restaurants in the world, I cheated with a dessert called Montblanc, ( one of the reasons I chose it is because it had a touch of HJ ) a very scrumptious concoction! BTW, have you checked Box Office Mojo? It looks like it is doing good business in parts of Europe (UK,Germany,Spain,Russia), in Latin America(Brazil, Mexico, Columbia,Venezuela, etc) and parts of Asia (the Philippines-ahem!, Malaysia, South Korea). Australia is a very close second to Brazil, although it was released in Oz on 9/24. It's opening in China & France today...Japan to follow. I was so elated to read a 4 out of 5 stars review from TimeOut-Paris! Josephine

Disappointing news from Variety re the poor opening debut in China. The movie earned only $ 3.5 million in its first four days, despite Hugh's popularity there, per Variety. It did have a good opening in France (over $ 2 million, opening on the same date as Chine). I promise - I didn't go to see it 25 times while I was in France.. We have said "Au Revoir" to Paris this morning -- now waiting at Schipol airport for our very long flight home. The Pan box office result to-date in the Philippines is not far off from some of the Xmen movies. C'est la vie for PAN and for Hugh
