I'm about 40 pages into Michael Riedel's new (first) book about Broadway shenanigans and deal-making and only just realized that HJ is quoted on the back cover. His take on reading an advance copy: "This book is a love letter to Broadway, both a splendid history of this American institution and a wonderful account of how art gets made. It made me fall for Broadway's magic all over again: its history and its myths, its heroes and its villains, its ups and its downs, its dirt and its dish, its failure and its glory."
He and Riedel are friends, so it's no wonder Riedel or his publisher sought HJ's opinion.
Hugh also is referenced a few times inside the pages.

Amazing how that friendship grew after Riedel eventually acknowledged Hugh's efforts for THE BOY FROM OZ, when weeks before the TONYs, he was busy trumping Alfredo Molina's "Tevye" as the winner for the Best Actor award He was one of the few (very few) unbelievers of the Jackman charisma from Day One of TBFO Riedel wrote the "Hugh as Atlas" on Broadway tribute right before TBFO ended and gave Hugh his due! nypost.com/2004/09/10/hugh-go-boy-triumphant-jackman-deserves-long-rest/Jo
