Thanks to Jackman's Landing for this clip of an early Jackman TV role (LAW OF THE LAND) --

We've only been trying to track down this show since forever! So glad it finally materialized. Thx! How young--even for Baby Hugh--does he look? IMDB has it airing in Dec. '94. That has to predate CORRELLI. HJ has referred to both as "my first job." Maybe Chicka was his first pre-graduation role, and Kevin was his first post-grad, real-world job. In any case, he did a beautiful job, esp for such an early entry on his acting resume. And the script deftly treated a serious subject. Good on ya, baby Hugh. Ellen

I was fast-forwarding the scenes to those where Chicka appears. So, is there a continuation where we can find out if he gets released or convicted?

I've never seen any other episodes of the series, but to me it looked like a one-off, standalone story. You were led to believe that Chicka would not be prosecuted for manslaughter, perhaps for simple assault with likely probation. But he lost his chance at a professional sports career and blames himself, no matter where or how his teammate was injured. So he has to live with that.
Any other opinions?

Yes, it was only one episode ( Episode 13, WIN, LOSE and DRAW for that season) -- so, it is unlikely that we will ever find out what happened to him. It was also the last episode for the season -- www.imdb.com/title/tt0629846/ He was provoked...and provoked again, so that will likely mitigate any penal provisions for the assault. This was supposed to have been aired on December 1994, probably after he graduated from WAAPA -- according to his school, he graduated from his acting course in that year -- www.waapa.ecu.edu.au/news/latest-news/waapa/2014/05/ecu-welcomes-hugh-jackman-back-to-waapaCorrelli was released in 1995, which he said was a job he got within an hour after graduating from WAAPA. Maybe he did get the Correlli job right after, but could the filming for the TV series succeeded the one episode of LAW OF THE LAND? Interesting though that in LAW OF THE LAND, Hugh has not yet built his physique to what we had seen in CORRELLI.

He may have landed Correlli first, but it filmed after Law Of The Land. ETA: the LOTL episode aired Dec. 27, 1994 and Correlli from July 26 to Sept. 27, 1995. Nancy
