It has been something that I have thought about for sometime now -- that Hugh does very well in two-hander roles. He delivers excellent portrayals while not trying to upstage his co-stars.
Which one is your favorite two-hander role for Hugh ?
*With Russell Crowe ( Les Miserables)
*With Christian Bale ( The Prestige)
*With Ewan McGregor ( Deception)
*With Liev Schreiber ( Origins:Wolverine)
*With Jake Gyllenhaal ( Prisoners)
*With Daniel Craig ( A Steady Rain)
Not sure if roles vis-à-vis a young co-star count ( but artistically-speaking, they are like two-handers) --
*With Dakota Hoyo ( Real Steel)
*With Levi Miller ( Pan)
and the latest one --
*With Taron Egerton ( Eddie the Eagle)

Here's the screen test with Taron, to test their chemistry on the big screen. Matthew Vaughn ( who said he persuaded Hugh to take the role) narrates --
