If you can expand the page on the feature -- Hugh gives his account of his audition for BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

Guess who flew to Atlanta to join Hugh on his birthday ? au.be.yahoo.com/entertainment/celebrity/a/37440055/hugh-jackman-celebrates-49th-birthday-with-ryan-reynolds/Check out the audio clip via Gus Worland GRILL TEAM radio program. LOL! So, did Ryan fly over to help Hugh celebrate his birthday? Ryan started filming DEADPOOL 2 in June in Vancouver, Canada...Is he done doing that? Err... plus isn't it quite a ways from Vancouver to Atlanta ( at least a few hours flying), unless he is also filming a new movie nearby? Maybe Hugh was just trying to get a rise from Gus Btw, another true-or-false story -- On one of a number of times that I saw BACK ON BROADWAY -- I was at the front area of the BROADHURST, when a co-fan rushed me to the stagedoor because Hugh was about to emerge. My sister was left behind in front of the front lobby, waiting for me. When I came back after seeing Hugh at the stagedoor, she told me that she saw a not-so-famous-actor (then) emerge from the theatre and lingered a bit with a date and another couple with them. She said it was RYAN REYNOLDS, who had just separated from Scarlett then. It was however after they were were in ORIGINS together ( which was 2009, while BoB was in 2011). I was a bit skeptical because I thought surely he would have gone backstage to meet Hugh again... but maybe because he had 3 other people with him, he decided not to. My sister insisted that it was Ryan she saw ( my sister generally has a gift for faces). Jo

The real deal ... from the podcast call to The Grill Team and Gussy -- From the entire podcast -- www.triplem.com.au/shows/the-grill-team/content/hugh-jackman-calls-into-the-grill-teamHe reconfirmed that Gussy is relly his Best Mate Gussy and a few other Aussies joined Hugh at the Jets game recently. And it seems he already has plans for the big 50th birthday next year -- somewhere in Europe ( a little exercising and a lot of eating)! I guess that means he won't be on Broadway in the weeks/months just before October 12, 2018 Jo

Trawling through the miles of Twitter birthday messages for Hugh, one gets the overall impression of people's regard for Hugh Jackman -- not just because he is a consummate and dedicated actor/performer, or a committed advocate for certain causes, but because as someone said he is " a freaking decent human being" and someone who really inspires people. The above tweet is probably unusual ... but regard for Hugh has been manifested in so many different ways! We love you, Hugh Jo

The show of such affection for Hugh continues to overflow on social media! My finger aches from scrolling over the many messages from many parts of the world. From one of his theatre fans ( Ozalots, included) - a birthday cake decorated with his theatrical successes! PS: I first "met" him while he was performing live in London -- I never thought that I would still be among his birthday greeters some 18 years later And his warmth and friendliness at stagedoor encounters have endeared him even more to his theatre followers!

Hugh's defacto mother studio sends him birthday wishes --
And of course from the publicity team of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN comes this greeting --
Wishes come from the UK publicity group, too ( Hope they make THE GREATEST SHOWMAN one of the UK's biggest hits, too -- they love musicals over there!)!

PS: I needed an excuse to play my favorite version of OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNIN' Never an excuse needed for that gorgeous clip from "Hey, Mr. Producer." I agree--that's his most powerful version of OWABM. It's still goosebump-inducing. Ellen
