On the official Twitter Page of 20th Century Fox -- the site is overwhelmed with tweets praising SHOWMAN... in between one post for THE POST...and one or two for other Fox holiday offerings. twitter.com/20thcenturyfox/with_replies

Crossing our fingers that the Audience Score of 90% for THE GREATEST SHOWMAN will soon translate into much improved box office results starting from Christmas Day. Hope strong word of mouth spreads around. We have already seen it on social media... Hope people will also spread the word around at work or at other public gatherings or even in the neighborhood

All very gratifying to read. But I must admit my favorite phrase in a tweet about TGS has nothing to do with its merits but rather Jason K’s assertion that his “son-in-law has the attention span of a squirrel.” That made me laugh. Well, I’ll concede that with all the quick cuts in the movie, a short attention span might not have been a liability.
At least Mr. K lets us know that his entire family, presumably even those whose mental capacities he approves of, loved the movie.

Bipolar Jackman, huh Fingers crossed the fanboys become terribly curious about how Wolverine is making moviegoers crazy... singing and dancing... and rush to the movie like a blockbuster

Does Wolverine really smile?
When he said "So this is how it feels" - he had a half-smile but it was more of a feeling that he is now at peace.

Maybe this is the exact reason why moviegoers are exhausting all the superlatives to describe their experience with THE GREATEST SHOWMAN! Lately, some quarters ( such as the serious film buffs and the awards-conscious) think that for a movie to be good, it always has to provoke thinking, it has to be anguished, it has to champion a cause, it has to stick to certain genres, it has to expect that the performances should be overly dramatic... but there comes a point that that kind of movie makes you shy away from the moviehouse! You already see or experience all that in life. Sometimes, one needs a ray, nay many rays of sunshine in your life...to inspire, to bring happiness even if only momentarily, and sometimes just to feel good! Maybe that is something that auteurs have forgotten Jo

From the official Facebook Page of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN -- Maybe they were waiting if there is a post-credits scene ( ala XMen) Or hoping for a possible sequel ... Wishful thinking

If I may say so, one of the missteps is focusing too much on a certain demographic, thus saturating publicity material with the trapeze act A look at the demographic profile shown on IMDB for the user vote of over 12000 shows that likeability was spread out across all ages and across gender. People of all ages and gender loved it, based on the running commentaries on social media ( It has not stopped!) www.imdb.com/title/tt1485796/ratings?ref_=tt_ov_rtThe hidden weapon were two things -- *The musical score is a real gem! It is not one in which there is only one or two or a few standout songs. And couple some of them with the outstanding choreography and people come out with music in their heads and on their feet! People of all ages loved the music! *The story, enveloped in a powerful score and production numbers, and with its message of hope and positivity struck an undeniable chord at a time when people are weary of what's happening in the world and in their world! To bring even a short time that is full of joy and love meant a lot to many of those who saw the movie! No wonder there is repeat patronage among those wanting to keep recreating the mood during the holiday season! The not so hidden weapons -- *Hugh Jackman! *Keala Settle and This Is Me! *The other casting turning out very good performances as well. Singing, dancing, acting! Jo

That Spanky is such a spendthrift. Actually, that would be me if not for MoviePass. I figure by month's end, each viewing will have cost me about $2 each. TGS is the reason I started my account near year-end. Hope there's something else obsession-worthy to justify my using it to full advantage again before THE FRONTRUNNER. Ellen

I am getting a little emotionally overwhelmed by so much expression of delight and support for the movie ( I wish Hugh would read all of them...and stop thinking if his fireworks design for the Sydney New Year's Eve display will please people -- he already has one uber crowd-pleasing work happening right now!) --
Many posts come from male posters --

Overseas fans are reacting similarly --
Translated from Spanish by Bing
#TheGreatestShowman is one of the best films of the year leaving us messages and teachings as love, family, friends, and understand that life is a great show. And of course, Jackman does not disappoint never 👏👏👏 #ThisIsMe 🎪👌🎶

An actor/musician reacts --
Which is why I couldn't understand why some Broadway elitists diss the movie entirely!

I have just re-read it...and came across this : It's almost like I was paraphrasing what Ms.Snider was saying, except I do not even remember reading what she said because I was understandably more curious ahout what Hugh was saying in the interview and some of the production secrets shared in the article. What drew me towards what I had written was more of an appreciation of many social media messages that I have read --how people were responding to the appeal of the movie and its music and why it meant a lot to them.
