Warning : I generally do not want to post anything that can be politically-inciting. But the movie is really all about politics within an atmosphere of an overly-inquisitive media. Do go on … but only more for academic interest, as it is not the intention to pit different political points of view.

I don't even remember seeing the Gregory Peck movie, but I remember catching some of the TV drama series based on the movie TWELVE O'CLOCK HIGH. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelve_O%27Clock_HighMaybe the comparison on "leadership roles" stems from the command and relationship issues that arose between Gary Hart and his campaign team led by JK Simmons? Or even with media organizations, such as with Alfred Molina and his reporters? And how these were resolved? Let's hope the movie-going public will look at the movie seriously and let its many messages evoke thinking and discussions. Sad to say that often spectacle/melodrama are considered high art but movies of this sort ( which encourage discussions) are relegated to the side. Even more disappointing are the reactions of some of the supposedly top critics! Jo |
