Just got my tickets for closing night at the Hollywood Bowl! That would be pretty special, Kathy! Jo The price for each ticket was under $200 (in disability area close to the stage, where I used to have season tickets to the Hollywood Bowl). We got them directly from the box office & not from a ticket broker.

Whoever is running the official website for the show should review the information therein. www.hughjackmantheshow.com/There is inconsistency on key information between that website and the official ticket sellers re the events. I am not sure if is true for all the show dates, but at least for the NYC leg, TM shows a 7:00 pm performance time on its sales page/ticket, while the website shows it at 8:00 pm... Of course, what it says on the ticket, say Ticketmaster, is probably the governing information but the website should attempt to be consistent with the official ticketsellers key announcements. Jo

Seriously? They are missing the moment to look through the lens of a small devise. If someone in front of me was blocking my view with their phone, I'd be very upset. Theaters require that phones be turned off. Outdoor venues should do the same.

Ticket sales for Hugh's TOUR are a current topic on BWW -- huh - it is not a Broadway show www.broadwayworld.com/board/readmessage.php?thread=1113930&dt=22I wonder if those people who think this should have been more of a theatrical offering REALIZE that Hugh is not even eyeing people from Broadway ( except for Keala, who is more well-known now for her TGS appearance than any of her Broadway roles) for his guest performers? He is trying to paint his shows as more pop in appeal. Just look at his clip above -- if we are lucky, maybe Ryan Reynolds may even land in MSG ( he lives in New York state...and is temporary help as a Laughing Man barista) Jo

I have no way of verifying this --
But one time we were waiting for Hugh at the stagedoor after a performance of Back on Broadway, my sister chose to stay at the entrance/exit doors of the theatre in front. Later on, she tells me that she spotted Ryan Reynolds with a date ( double-date, in fact) leaving the theatre and she was fairly insistent it was Ryan. It seems that Ryan began dating Blake soon after his split from Scarlett Johansson) and might have been his date that night. I told her- if he was there, Hugh would have pointed him out to the crowd - although now, Ryan might not have wanted that, because he had just newly separated from his famous first wife then.
Hugh and Ryan did appear together in Origins:Wolverine released 2 years before.

Will the audiences be mostly women...or will men also want to see Hugh perform?

It looks like the previous EXTRA clip was edited -- here's the full version!
He just let out a secret plan -- he will play the piano!!
Do you remember when he was faking it in TBFO? I know one time that I was on Row AA, that I did peek ( at the orchestra pit below) if there was someone among the orchestra actually playing the piano while Hugh was faking it onstage?
And he is reconfirming that he will sing an original song!
Mid-life crisis, he thinks? More!!!!

The Pool, Garden and Terrace levels are nearly sold out. People can be so snarky. I get that his voice may not be everyone's cup of tea but Hugh is about so much more than just singing, or dancing or even acting. Arguably he may not be the best of any singular discipline - but he is one hell of an entertainer, a charismatic showman who is unrestrained in his generosity and joyousness of spirit on stage. Not to mention that he is one of the genuinely nicest celebs in the industry. And that is why we are still here.

A few say that he belongs in a theatre setting, not in an arena for pop concerts. They have never seen him perform in a big space, except maybe for the TONYs at RCMH. They do not know that Hugh has this ability to reach out to most everyone inside a hall, no matter how cavernous it was I remember when I saw him for TBFO-Arena -- the show was modified to emphasize the spectacle aspect, as befitting a big arena. He came down from the top of the stage in a harness, all glittery and spectacular! During the show, he came down from the stage and ran around between the floor seats where an aisle was created for him to allow us better closeups of the performer...Afterwards, he laughingly told us: " I have never been so mugged in my life " -- the ladies from Australia were not shy In the middle of the show, as his Bi-coastal number ( this was TBFO) -- he sped to the second level and chose his victim there ( who happened to be the owner of the Sydney Entertainment Center - but that didn't faze Mr. Jackman Later on, he tried to climb higher to the rafters to say Hello to the people there! In his Broadway to Oz tour, based on an unofficial filmed version in one of the venues -- he had a thrust stage towards the middle of the room, so he can be seen more closely in some of the musical numbers. He also did his from-the-top-of-the-dome-to-the-stage-floor as his second act entrance. Sometimes, we forget that he is used to flying stunts in his movies ( XMen, Van Helsing, Pan). It looks like that, if it is feasible, he will also have a thrust stage for this tour. The seat diagrams for some shows show this. I'm sure Hugh is already planning how to combine spectacle, intimacy, connectivity to the audience, eliciting laughter and even emotional reactions ( do you remember when he unfurled the huge Aussie flag over the floor audience)...and of course choosing the music he will feature and the guests he hopes to entice ( Don't forget Deadpool )! Do keep reading the thread discussing his world tour on BWW -- www.broadwayworld.com/board/readmessage.php?thread=1113930&dt=22Some staunch defenders there, especially after someone who says she loves Hugh and TGS said that she found Hugh's TODAY performance to be "wooden and awkward "( her words) and that she "cannot stomach spending her $$$" (her words) on something like that live Funniest reply was when someone said that he talks himself out of seeing something he cannot afford by saying it will not be good I haven't even waded in there Jo
