This was sometime ago - maybe when he was first promoting TGS ?? Wasn't it at the Walmart meet? Look at how the kids love Hugh! That has been further reinforced when THE GREATEST SHOWMAN became a kid's favorite soundtrack to emulate I'd love to see how they will react if some of them get a chance to watch him in his forthcoming show JO

Did you scream as loud when you got tickets as a surprise Christmas gift Or was it equally satisfying when you finally pressed the " Click to Pay" for your tickets

Fans are preparing for a singalong Er… I wonder what they will do when they find out it is more like a Broadway show ( if what he says is true -- that as planned, that it may be formatted like BACK ON BROADWAY and BROADWAY TO OZ ) We can always sing to ourselves only Jo

Much of this group interview have been quoted in earlier media articles, but there are a few insights that are fresh -- www.broadwayworld.com/article/Hugh-Jackman-Prepares-For-His-Greatest-Show-Seven-Things-We-Learned-About-the-Triple-Threats-Upcoming-Tour-20190113*It looks like he is expecting kids to be part of his audience I wonder what will be in store that would partly hew the show's appeal to the excited young minds? Will he persuade some of them to join him onstage *He has been teasing about his return to Broadway. How unusual that the Broadway chatterati has not caught on to this and someone has not spilled what it might be *Also, what an amazing coincidence for me -- When I first came to America to study, the first live theatre performances I had seen were a serious play by Anton Chekov ( too serious for me!) at the Guthrie Theatre in Minnneapolis...then Funny Girl on Broadway... but it wasn't till the third professional theatre which I saw where the live show had such an emotional impact on me ( and made me feel how enthralling theatre can be!). That was Man of La Mancha, with Richard Kiley, in its original staging at a theatre in the round in Manhattan! Up to now, I can still picture in my mind the last scene where Miguel de Cervantes ( the prisoner who had been telling the story of Don Quijote de la Mancha) would climb up the stairs to where he would be tried and sentenced... I was crying towards the end! And what a way to be introduced to one of live theatre's most emotionally impactful song, The Impossible Dream!... Fast forward many, many years later -- I had already seen so many Broadway shows then but nothing had the same emotional impact on me ( as La Mancha) than when I first saw Les Miserables on Broadway! It seems some people are assuming that the TheManTheMusicTheShow is a typical pop concert where there is a main singer who sings one song after another, with a front act from a relatively unknown talent. I have noted a few tweets which seem to indicate that this might be the expectation, such as this one -- Hugh has said that the forerunner will be Back on Broadway, further enhanced on Broadway to Oz. Presumably that is the kind of show we might expect. More of a personal story of the musical soundtrack in his mind … Featuring songs which he has performed on stage and in film...and some others. He has also said that he will likely be able to feature some special guests ( such as Keala and others). Hope audiences will find this format even more entertaining and very different! Jo

He has been tap dancing for some time now - this was supposed to be rehearsals for the 2014 TONYs :
I can't seem to remember this rehearsal video from that time. It is supposed to have been posted on thehughjackman Instagram account?

Hugh showed us that he could do tap for BACK ON BROADWAY ( 2011). A the 2014 TONYs, he showed his tap dancing skills even more. Warren Carlyle directed a show then which featured a lot of dance ( can't remember the name)...and at the same time, Hugh was invited to host the show. He turned to his former dance captain in Oklahoma! and Back on Broadway choreographer/director Warren Carlyle for those dance moves with an incredible troupe of dancers! And in 2015, they worked together on "Broadway to Oz" -- http://instagram.com/p/7nwplTihE3 http://instagram.com/p/-FfbfQihMZ

When you think of the physicality aspects -- Hugh is not exactly doing a 180-degree turn He once said that action choreography is much the same as dance choreography. He mastered a lot of action choreography during the 17 years he was associated with the XMen franchise and even in movies like Van Helsing/Swordfish/The Fountain ( first part). The movements required may be slightly different but the physical demands are both tremendous! The discipline of repeated and exhaustive training must be at par with each other. Dance does require a lot of foot movements but fight scenes require a lot of other capabilities ( swinging on wires/ arm movements for fight scenes/body movements for fight scenes). Who could say that the train fight in THE WOLVERINE would be less difficult than all the dancing on Back on Broadway! And the danger of being hurt is higher for fight scenes than dance scenes. Hugh has maintained a fit regime ( and not just when occasion demands it), even without action movie commitments! Dance is only one way to keep fit and probably be much more enjoyable than what he does at Dogpound? Hugh has tried different ways to maintain his physical talents -- for dance, he has worked with various choreographers - Warren Carlyle, Ken Ortega for TBFO-Arena ( loved his Fosse-like moves for Hugh in that Guys-and-Dolls dance sequence), the choreo for TBFO ( including the Tonys 2004)… and more recently, Ash Wallen for The Greatest Showman ( Hugh said he had to learn new dance movements for TGS; he also worked with Ash for the Lipton Tea Commercial which featured exhaustive dancing). Even on the singing level, he has had different voice teachers -- including the one who trained him every week for Beauty and the Beast, Joan Lader who worked with him for a long time, Russell Crowe's voice teacher who helped Hugh on the set of Les Miserables, Liz Caplan who coached him for The Greatest Showman. So, the upcoming tour is not going to be a very stark departure from his usual routine! *He probably sings at home, as often as he feels like ( subject to objections from Oscar, when Hugh does too much of it) - LOL! *But his family will be standing guard during the tour to make sure that Hugh " lives like a monk" - no talking and constant rest when home at the hotels - which he did at home for a year for TBFO! Thanks, Ellen. I wish I could find a clip of that TONYs sequence -- I was like WOW when Hugh came out with that group which can outdance even the best from the troupe in From Now On! Edit: I looked for a clip and chanced upon a review of the 2014 TONYs by Rolling Stone -- argghh!!! They took offense at Hugh's hopping and dancing and rapping! They said that even Hugh's inserting himself into the dance sequence of AFTER MIDNIGHT could NOT ruin it! And called Hugh's jokes as carbon-dated - ha! LOL! Now it doesn't surprise me that Rolling Stone's Peter Travers rated THE GREATEST SHOWMAN 1.5 of 4 stars! Ha! Although he gave LOGAN 3.5 of 4 stars! Moral of the story : Don't invite Peter Travers to see the show or charge him $ 10,000 for a nosebleed seat Jk Jo
