I assume 8am is EST. Does that mean tickets cannot be purchased on the west coast until they have been on sale for 3 hours on the east coast? Or, does one have to rise at 0 Dark Thirty?

Also, there are usual service and other charges when ordered online with TELECHARGE. No such fees if purchased physically at the box office of the designated theatre.

There is some speculation that tickets will be sold without a specific theatre already named? One also cited that Dear Evan Hansen was moved from the Belasco to Music Box and some people ended up with bad seats. I remember when TBFO was doing its initial previews - they removed the 2 front rows ( supposedly because of lighting considerations) and the 3rd row became the famous Row AA. Those who lost their seats were given a choice of other seats for the same date or the option to be rescheduled for better seat choices. If a theatre could not yet be named -- why go ahead with the sales on Sept 14? There is a year to go - why not delay it somewhat until a final theatre choice is made? Of course, they still have close to a day to make the theatre announcement... or they could simply include the theatre and its seating chart when tickets are offered in the system? They did advance the sales date by a day from the originally-announced September 15, 2019 date... so maybe this is just to build more excitement Jo

This can be quite messy and can only create confusion or ill feelings.
I wonder if Hugh is aware of it ( he did post the teaser on the time of the start of sales) - I hope he steps in because he is the draw to this project and any negativity created by this kind of selling technique may not be good for the show ultimately?
Hope they can clear up things very early on?

It is confusing... but I guess we all have to make our own judgment. My take at this point -- The key or operative phrase seems to be -- "While we do not anticipate any changes..." seems to indicate that they are fairly confident about the theatre ( otherwise, can you imagine the mess of fitting the purchased seats from one theatre seating chart with the seats of another theatre which is not the same as what was used for selling tickets)… it is inviting negative feelings from customers, when they have every chance to simply postpone it. … besides they actually even advanced the selling date by a day ( when it should be the other way around if the theatre choice is still up in the air) ...maybe they do have the theatre but maybe it is the present occupant who wants to make the official announcement of their move-out and that it is part of the deal ??If the seating chart is exactly that of the Winter Garden ( which can may be guessed because of the configuration of its mezzanine) then we know that maybe it is just a matter of formality and being part of the terms of the deal? Hoping I am right - because I am prepared to get tickets tomorrow Jo

It looks like the Telecharge TMM Page has already set up the seating chart : www.telecharge.com/Broadway/The-Music-Man/Seating-ChartBut I am not sure if this is the final configuration...or they are just testing the format ( although it already identifies the type of seats/pricing). But speculations on the chart on ATC and BWW tend to favor the theory that it is the Winter Garden, with some minor differences. Jo

Very orderly but there is a long queue to get tickets ( I got into the queue at 7:20 but there were already 800+ people ahead of me). They are selling tickets only up to Feb 2021 at this time. Seat choices are a little disappointing. But I have completed my ticket wishlist... for my favorite time in NYC Good luck to everyone! Jo

I found better seats going through MusicManOnBroadway.com vs logging directly into Telecharge.

Jo Talked to Telecharge and they did allow me some changes which I requested. Telecharge has always been the more customer-friendly ticket seller, time and again! He kept telling me that the theatre has not been named... but I told him that most people are guessing it would be one particular theatre in mind Jo

Two BWW posters have said that the prices have now risen on the tickets?
Did anyone notice the same trend?
I have been a little wary of that happening - maybe the initial price structure was used only to gauge demand but that there have been options to raise them once there is a much stronger demand trend than expected. Most basic rule of economics - law of supply and demand !

Maybe they go up in price after the opening? Just a guess.

Was everyone surprised that the Previews started on the 6th rather than the 15th? I was somewhat fearful of purchasing tickets given their advertising dates, so purchased later in September which is better for us - we wanted to try Previews and perhaps make a second trip to see it again later in the run. I was also hesitant to purchase front row for fear it would be removed, so opted for Row A behind BB. I wish I would have known there was a different selection of seats on BWW! I hate the purchasing process.
