Do watch this on a full screen via YouTube… you can see how perfect Hugh's musicality, rhythm and (athletic) grace is, as a dancer!

Original Instagram from Taron -- http://instagram.com/p/ByYmdKtFU94 When Hugh was doing THE RIVER, there was mention of him asking Taron for a copy of his singing tapes ( At that time, I thought it would be for Greatest Showman). That was not unusual - because Taron went to RADA where the Stephen Sondheim Appreciation Society awarded him for Best Musical Performance. Then of course we saw them recreate the Gaston singoff at Jonathan Ross's show. Hopefully, he and Hugh can eventually collaborate on a movie musical together? Jo

And it was just a one-off moment, it seems!
I feel sad if Hugh is not intending to devote at least a song from the musical (which he said gave him one of the best years of his life on stage) when the show moves across the pond. Hope he springs fans an Oklahoma! surprise in the next leg of the tour.
Oklahoma! opened on Broadway 76 years ago and the songs are still rousing musical numbers!

Interesting comments from Hugh about how the EDDIE THE EAGLE project was memorable to him. He made some great friendships from the project. There's also mention of the project coming at around a "very difficult time in his life" ( at around 0'40" thereon) . Just guessing but if I go back to that timeline -- *Hugh opened with The River in the fall of 2014. At the stagedoor, I was able to ask him about the XMEN APOCALYPSE project and he said nothing has been confirmed but that he hoped he would have a role in it. *It seems that his involvement in the film proper did not happen... because in the closing days of The River, he had done a screen test with Taron. Also, at the same time he had asked Taron for his singing tapes ( as Hugh was already scouting for Greatest Showman casting then). *The River closed in January 2015, if I recall right. At around the same time, Baz Bamigboye from the UK published the scoop about the film project EDDIE THE EAGLE, with Hugh Jackman involved as Eddie's coach. *In March 2015, Hugh posted on his Instagram account the cryptic message ( which people were very apprehensive about) of "One Last Time", signaling that this will be the last time he will be part of the XMen Family as Wolverine! No more!! *In July 2015 was the ComicCon session where Hugh announced about "One Last Time!" to the crowd. Later on the APOCALYPSE cast, Singer and Kinberg entered the session hall, which turned out to be awkward because Hugh was pointedly left without a seat. He playfully sat on Jen Lawrence's lap, while Singer seemed a bit embarrassed. It turned out Hugh and Bryan met accidentally at the parking lot earlier... *In early 2016, before APOCALYPSE was due for release in the spring/summer, Hugh did that cameo and Bryan made a fuss about it - even sharing some social media scenes. *Save for that cameo clip, it was rather unusual for Hugh NOT to help promote a new XMEN film, even if only via social media entries. *It was also made known publicly that Kinberg rewrote the script and changed the leadership role - it was turned over to Mystique, instead of Wolverine! I wonder - could this be one of the possibilities in what Hugh has mentioned as a difficult time in his life ( maybe referring his career?)? Btw, Matthew Vaughn, whom he also mentioned in the video, is part of the XMen family having directed Frist Class and being initially involved with Days of Future Past. He was also the producer for EDDIE THE EAGLE. He would have known about the brouhaha...and probably found an opportunity to get Hugh involved in his film project. It had a happy conclusion, though, as EDDIE THE EAGLE was a very well-received movie! Maybe it was something else ( perhaps about his family, maybe his Dad's Alzheimer's Disease - he mentioned it, even emotional about it, while promoting LOGAN - late 2016/early 2017)? Although as early as January 2013, he had already talked about his Dad already deep into the onslaught of the disease. www.express.co.uk/celebrity-news/369696/Hugh-Jackman-s-father-battling-Alzheimer-s-diseaseIt's just too coincidental about some impact on his career that could be tied in with a small film project like EDDIE THE EAGLE ( and he was just in a supporting role) and that deep and lasting friendships would come over a short period of connection with new friends...And if I recall right, Deb ( not sure, but maybe Ava and Oscar, too) joined him in part of the filming in Germany/other locales. I remember Hugh posting some photos then). And today -- Jo

You can spot Warren Carlyle ( who was Dance Captain/Asst Choreographer of the revival) at the back row, third from left.

What if... The final response is Ryan/Deadpool showing up to accept the challenge at Madison Square Garden ( "the mecca of boxing" and anything competitive ) ??
