Whoa! Is it just me....or did this board suddenly get really big again? I have to scroll from side to side to read everything. Anyone else having the same problem? Anyways...Jamie, you nailed it girl! That's exactly what that scene looks like it is! And Jo, that olive green on him is striking! I love it! I would have loved to have seen that outfit on him without that hairpiece on; you know, with his own windswept hair...**sigh**......... I'm sorry, where was I?.............

nevaeah, I think the board got big because the picture that Jo posted was bigger than the screen, so it has to be scrolled over to see it. It should be fixed now that we're on another page.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum, but I thought you might be interested in this: www.lesmiserablesfilm.com/unlock/ A new poster/art will be released when enough people tweet or like it on Facebook. It's not as good as getting a new trailer, but for now I'll take it!

They need at least 24,601 tweets/likes to unlock it?? I am not fond of the Les Mis marketing team using social media to provide fans small mercies, though . What if there are many fans who do not want to tweet or to like Are they more interested in raising their own social media awareness or do they really want to please the fans??!!! Jo

It's 60% complete, but it still looks nothing to me -- just a pile of blocks Maybe within the next few hours? If it is Hugh - it will almost coincide with his birthday Jo

Don't worry, it doesn't look like we will need 24,601 likes. I thought that too at first, but now it looks like we only need about 3000 or so. We were halfway there with 1.5 k.
I agree with your point though. I'm holding out hope that this won't become a habit for their marketing team.

Love Hugh, Anticipating Les Mis and still felt irritated over this bit of publicity. We like them enough to spread the news. They can like us enough not to play games.

OH, MY GOODNESS!! I just found this new poster, too, and I had to pick myself up off the floor. How GORGEOUS is this!! I am speechless!!
As for the marketing through social networks, I'm sorry to tell you that MOST studios use this marketing technique now. It's free, fans will spread news around for you like wildfire, and they barely have to do any other advertising! It's the trend now, and I'm sure most studios think it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Re the use of social media -- you should have read all the rants and more rants on the IMDB board protesting the use of such a slow-moving process just to get a poster image of someone who has been seen already a number of times ...Had the poster been a rare one ( such as one of the Thenardiers or the Barricade Boys), it would have merited a squee after seing the complete profile, after waiting for quite a time to see it unravel. Sorry... at least someone was quick to point out that it was not Anne...and that the lead character ( represented by Hugh) should really be first in line...to be followed hopefully by Javert!! They're hating the slow pace of releasing movie publicity material! And almost asking fans to beg for it LOL - I am happy about the poster ( especially that it is Hugh/Valjean) but I would be happier ( and so would the Les Mis fans on IMDB) to get all the character posters as fast as possible.... And a much awaited second and full theatrical trailer, please!! It has been 4 1/2 months since the first teaser! What kind of marketing thrust is this, when all the big Oscar season releases are already pushing for their movies as hard as they could! Sorry for the rant again! Jo

No apologies necessary, Jo! I want a new trailer, too!! And all the posters, without teasing, would be very good! This one almost did me in, though - Breathtaking!!

Actually, there was presumably a new trailer released in Japan and a Japanese fan posted on IMDB a video link of the trailer being shown on a TV monitor in a shop in Japan.
But one can hardly see it ( the only thing I could make out, after squinting and squinting as hard as I could are the battle scenes which seem to be new...I could not hear any discernible music either) ...and we do not know if this is really the much awaited second trailer or just publicity material meant for the Japanese market ( they love LesMis over there, too - Hooper talked about meeting the Japanese distributor who said he had seen Les Mis only 65 times)...so I have not even put up the link here.
Hence, there is the brewing irritation of many fans as to the way the marketing is being handled.
