Dear Hugh -- It's been such a great year for you! You are at career highs in many different ways -- *You are winding up your very successful TheManTheMusicTheShow music tour shortly! The Rock Star appellation that we have teased you with is now even more deserved. The soundtrack album of The Greatest Showman was the best-selling one in 2018 and has inspired so many covers until the present time in many parts of the world. For your part in it, you have been awarded a Grammy! Financial results reported on the Tour is proving to be so much more than what was probably initially expected. But even more heartwarming are the fulsome praise and admiration you have earned for your remarkable performance! No one can steal the appellation of The Greatest Showman from you now! *Your movie BAD EDUCATION has won laurels at the Toronto and the London Film Festivals! It was not just well-received as a movie but it has brought out the highest praise ( some call it "career-best") for your portrayal! It has also recorded a record-high festival purchase for film distribution. In this regard, it will be a new arena for you to conquer - that of the world of streaming services which can reach movie audiences unable to go to a cinema! Shortly, you are expected to start filming another exciting project, Reminiscence ( The Jade Earring), a romantic sci-fi thriller! *Your return to Broadway for a yearlong engagement for the grand revival of THE MUSIC MAN was also announced this year. And as you celebrate your birthday on October 12 the theatre and the Hugh fans are busy getting their tickets for a ahow that is still a year away from actual staging. It only affirms the high and popular regard that musical theatre fans have for you! *On your personal advocacies, Laughing Man Foundation continues to thrive! Your involvement in World Vision and the Global Citizen Festival over the years must bring you such a personal sense of achievement that goes beyond career goals! *Lastly and most importantly, you have been awarded the highest civilian honor for an Australian citizen ( A Companion of Australia), an honor that was also part of the earlier Queen's List from the UK!All these, while you continue to be such a model family man, too! We salute you and send your our most heartfelt affection. Hugh Jackman!(This must be the longest Birthday Greeting or Card on record ) In other words -- You deserve the HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY greetings!
Have a great day!
And only Wolverine Roses for Hugh Jackman --

*Lastly and most importantly, you have been awarded the highest civilian honor for an Australian citizen ( A Companion of Australia), an honor that was also part of the earlier Queen's List from the UK! Where did you read about the UK award ??? As far as I know he has not been honoured by them. The announcement of his award in the Australian honours system was made on the list published in Jun 2019 for the Queen's Birthday. Maybe that confused you. These lists are published twice a year on Australia Day in January, and the June Queen's Birthday list. Perhaps one day he will also be honoured by the UK in their honours system, as he holds dual citizenship by virtue of his English parents. The AC is the equivalent of a knighthood anyway, and I'm sure he would have been just as thrilled to receive recognition from his homeland.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Birthday_Honours#AustraliaI was referring to this - as it was called as being part of the Queen's Birthday Honours List announced on June 10. I did not mean to say that it was part of the UK list, but that it was part of the Queen's birthday honours list. I only meant to say that it was announced in June as part of the Queen's Birthday Honours List, apart from the actual ceremony that took place in Canberra much later on. Sorry, if it conveyed a different connotation.Yes, it would be nice for Hugh to be eventually part of the UK list, because of his dual citizenship. Gus actually teased him about receiving the equivalent of knighthood had this been awarded the equivalent UK honours. Jo

I had posted this earlier, where it was stated that this is NOT a UK award -- So, is it Sir Hugh now Had this been awarded in the UK, that would have been his new title. But since Australia is a republican form of government, Hugh is still Hugh Will he style himself now as HUGH JACKMAN AC ? I remember one of the best stagedoor stories from TBFO days. An excited fan finally reached him, but too excited to even speak. Hugh said : "Don't be nervous -- It's only me!" Jo

Amazing how his fans from all art forms dig up special memories to mark his birthday --
Even earlier -- as Joe Gillis in Sunset Boulevard ( 1986).

GoldDerby sends its Birthday Wishes to Hugh Jackman... and in the same vein presents 12 of Hugh's work portfolio -- www.goldderby.com/feature/hugh-jackman-greatest-films-ranked-worst-to-best-les-miserables-logan-prisoners-1203131260/But as of now, I cannot figure out how to get the gallery of the chosen 12 works going. Anyone? Also, the interview with Pete Hammond of Deadline.com is repeated when Hugh was included in the Oscar conversation for The Front Runner. Likewise, Hugh's Oscar hosting turn is linked to the main article. To be honest, the article really just touches on some of Hugh's key movies - and it seems he thinks Hugh only does musicals when he is on stage, and there is no mention of his work in dramatic theatre. Hugh emphasizes ( take note from the Hammond interview) that he is first and foremost " an actor"! He emphasizes that his formal training was in the acting course, not the musical theatre course. The path to musicals was unforeseen but it happened... Another winning aspect of his acting skills is how he brings warmth and human interest in movies like Real Steel and Eddie The Eagle. It is a more well-rounded exposition of talent that he brings to the table than what the article suggests ( maybe it was covered in the photo gallery, which I have not figured out how to view at the moment). Could have been better researched. Jo
