I've just read that the producing team for Reminiscence is topnotch. Besides the husband-and-wife team of Jonathan & LisaJoy Nolan, one producer Michael De Luca has recently been named as head of MGM in its new reorganization. Another producer Aaron Ryder is linked to Chris Nolan movies like The Prestige and Memento. De Luca was once offered to run production under Jim Gianopulos at Paramount but refused it because he wanted to be top guy. He was also considered for Sony ( where he also worked in film production ) but left when Tom Rothman got the top job instead... But that means he is perceived as a strong producer/filmmaker ( in the sense of running big film operations). Hopefully, this team has a better cinematic vision of the project...and are not just doing it for easy $$$ (Bad Education - ahem!). Maybe if the movie turns out to be very good with sterling performances esp from Hugh - that they might even shoot for Oscar glory?? While the movie is a romantic ( I think some Hugh fans think or hope that it is pure romance given the set photos that we have seen) sci-fi thriller, it has also been described as "dystopian" in nature. Hey -- maybe that is the kind of movie that draws the attention of the awards community Jo

Another bit I picked up -- He worked with Scott Rudin on "The Social Network". He says he has tremendous respect for Rudin! He also mentioned that Rudin and Aaron Sorkin are very close. I guess that was why Rudin picked up "To Kill A Mockingbird" as a theatrical project. I am hoping that maybe, after TMM, Hugh will be able to work on a film project with Scott Rudin ( maybe even one scripted by Sorkin -- they almost did, with "Houdini" - I remember having lunch at the Rotunda in San Francisco when Hugh was doing the tryout show...and the waiter who happened to be a countryman shared that the previous day, he served lunch to Jackman and Sorkin). Who knows-- Michael de Luca might pick it up as a film product for MGM ( which he is expected to breathe life into). Btw, if you are wondering how MGM continues to survive even if it seems its main project is focused on the James Bond franchise -- someone commented that their library vault is so rich in available material for TV and streaming that they don't even have to do much to survive. Maybe they might consider a modern remake of those glorious MGM musicals, with you-know-Hugh Maybe the entry of a forceful personality like De Luca will bring back the glory of studio financing and distribution as represented by MGM, the number of studios having declined with the Disney takeover of Fox ( btw, they are now omitting the use of FOX in the name of their entities, hence 20th Century Fox is now 20th Century Studios) ?? At least Hugh's current projects get him in touch with people who are recognized tops in their fields. Jo

Lol - I saw the photo earlier but I wasn't sure it wasn't taken at the same time when the first set photos were posted It seems their costume budget for this movie is quite economical - he seems to be wearing the same shirt and pants set as they were shown early on... Hope it is just the story theme (and maybe the general look) which is "dystopian" and not the look of the cast Will they wrap this week? Jo

It is no ordinary tank undershirt ( aka wifebeater in the past ) -- it is actually high-end! If they followed what Hugh Jackman wore for the Wolverine trilogy I do remember reading in the past that is made of very fine material and quite expensive - LOL! Can't find that article anymore but this one also serves the purpose -- And another one -- undershirtguy.com/hugh-jackmans-wolverine-tank-top/Sounds ridiculous...but isn't that the same thing for luxury ladies underwear, like La Perla Jo

Or did he just loosen his tie, after filming a scene (and took advantage of a break to record the message)?

Has principal photography wrapped this weekend, as originally scheduled?
If they did, the difficult post-production phase starts...and its pace will likely lead to an announcement of the release date?
It would be interesting to know if eventual test screenings will take place … maybe with keen interest on shaping the ending of the story?

Mojean Aria was a recipient of the Heath Ledger Scholarship. IIRC, Hugh was/is a benefactor of the scholarship program.

IMDB lists the USA release date of REMINISCENCE as "2020", with no specific date. IMDB usually uses only official sources for information like this. Maybe they have inside info from the distributor Warner Bros Studio? www.imdb.com/title/tt3272066/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_dt_dtJo
