12 October 2020 will be here soon! What will Year 52 for Hugh Jackman bring ... in this strange year of the pandemic? *The enforced isolation surely was a perfect time for Hugh to reinforce the family bond and shared interests! Oscar is grown-up now while Ava is on the cusp of womanhood. This must have been a precious time for Hugh and Deb to savor and strengthen the bonds of this family of four...whether overlooking the Hudson...or further away overlooking the bay next to the Atlantic! Let us not forget the 2 other members of the Jackman brood! One is always in the public mind as he comes-a-walking with his master *Quite a number of occasions seeing Hugh on the internet being interviewed, joking around, discussing the art of acting, sharing with us why Bad Education was a noteworthy movie. *On his personal growth - it was so typical of Hugh to share with many that he is now learning about filmmaking ( at Columbia, via online). It was also a time to do his own dance lab with Warren C, via zoom and practice his songs with PatrickV, of what may happen in their next project together ( which as of the recent announcement is moving disappointingly further away). *He has not forgotten that what also keeps him going are his advocacies -- his promotion of LaughingManCoffee seems to take all his "waking" hours - LOL! He found the time to work with Oscar in an organic farm raising produce for the needy. Right after his birthday - he is hosting an MPTF event! *His best gift to all was his sharing his life principles and personal attitudes in that long, long Tim Ferris interview. It has been unanimously hailed by everyone who patiently listened to the hour-and-a-half session with a human being who believes in the only meaningful way to live! *Career-wise, we were also delighted with the success of Bad Education as a worthy film that deserved recognition and attention ( because of its satire of society), while universally praising Hugh Jackman's often viewed as career-best performance! For us fans - there is something that we are very much looking forward to! We have been told of when it will actually invade The Great White Way --- and expectations are that it will change the landscape and the sounds of Broadway! Hugh's recent announcement that -- "When Broadway is ready for us ... we’ll be ready for you!" has left us a hopeful message despite the unexpected prolonged wait... that he and his troupe are determined to bring us one of America's classic musicals ( TONY winner, 1957/ Grammy Winner for Cast Recording) in the hope of re-energizing not only The Great White Way but to bring joy, laughter, and beaming smiles to a world grown weary! It's a long wait for us -- but we are also waiting for that joyous sounds of the band playing "Seventy-six Trombones" led by Mr. Music Man, Hugh Jackman, as Professor Harold Hill! And there is another film project, a romantic sci-fi thriller called REMINISCENCE to give us reason to applaud another fine acting performance! Soon! April 16, 2021! Hoping the year brings Hugh Jackman another time for reinforcing family bonds while he views what other projects may be worth his attention! Happy Birthday again, Hugh!

Lol - part right and part wrong guess It was by the East River but not known for serving Aussie food The place is the Fulton, one of good friend Jean Georges Vongerichten's restaurants! Btw, I was thinking of visiting South Street Seaport for my MusicMan trip -- but I was thinking of a less expensive place to eat. The Seaport is a very interesting place to visit - I have been there twice some years ago -- but it is quite a departure from the Manhattan type of shopping and scenery and food places ( mostly seafood-oriented). I remember going to one of the culminating events of the then-called GYPSY Campaign ( to give out the fundraising awards) at the Palace theatre -- in 2003. What a memorable afternoon -- *Hugh and Deb were seated across the room from where I was seated ( I was lucky to get a last-minute ticket on second row). *Hugh joined the TBFO cast for the group performance. He initially missed his cue and could not find his place among them and the audience was laughing... he did, eventually. *Avenue Q aped his TBFO style when one of the characters wore a white towel around her neck ( I think it was Ann Harada) all the time. In the second half, he joined a very playful Nathan Lane ( he kept embracing Hugh every which way) and Bernadette Peters onstage as members of the MC team. He got to announce the awards. That was the first year that his show won the fundraising grand award. After the show -- those of us near the front were asked to exit at the door close to the stage... That turned out to be next to the stagedoor ( which I did not know - I simply followed the crowd). When I exited the door, I was right by the stage door and was surprised to see Nathan and Bernadette winding up a media interview. Ha - a few seconds later, Hugh and Deb emerged... I didn't catch Hugh but Deb stood right in front of stunned me. I greeted her and she flashed the most brilliant smile. Just as I was about to walk back to Dufy Square -- I saw Hugh and Deb meeting up with Deb's Mom and little Oscar. Deb carried little Oscar on her hip...and Mother and daughter started conversing while Hugh was hovering around. I happened to be standing only about a meter or so from them... Was it not polite to stop, too? Sorry, it was too much an opportunity but I stepped back to 2-3 meters. Suddenly 2 teenaged females sighed loudly beside me, looked at me as if asking if they are seeing it right -- and I simply nodded. That only took a few minutes... until all of us started walking towards Dufy... Eventually Hugh walked separately towards the Imperial while Deb, her Mum, and little Oscar ( on his Mum's hip) went in another direction. Jo

I wonder if their friend and neighbor Jean Georges & Marja Vongerichten joined them for the brunch? Did Jean Georges himself prepare the food or supervised preparing it Jo
