Did he go to Paris to promote REMINISCENCE?

He still has the bandaid/plaster on his nose, so is this visit current?


Hmm...the play THE SON was originally set in Paris. Froilan Zeller is French and THE SON was translated from the original Zeller play called LE FILS. I wonder if he is meeting with Froilan Zeller there, too? One recent casting announcement for the son when he was a small boy mentioned that filming for scenes from the past may take place in either Southern France or England?


Edit: Nobody is wearing a mask among the photograhers...could this photo be from the premiere of LOGAN ( when he was also wearing a plaster for a surgical procedure he underwent then) at the Berlinale? It seems he is wearing the same clothes?

Others have made similar observations, some even complaining that they were "tricked" into thinking that it will be a Wolvrine movie

Fun fact -- in The Fountain, Hugh's character seems to float into space at the finale as he reached the dying star Xibalba....but not many people realize that it was actually shot while Hugh was underwater in a water tank. According to Darren Aronofsky, he was so impressed that Hugh did not even complain in what was a difficult physical acting part.

On the other hand, we know that Hugh Jackman is a water baby - whenever he goes back to his homeland, we always expect to see him on Bondi beach ... I also remember him saying that he once wanted to play Aquaman!

Sorry, Mr.Jackman - the clamor was for you to play Ariel's Dad, the God of the Sea, in the film adaptation of Little Mermaid

To-date 27 countries are releasing REMINISCENCE, per official announcements. It is possible that there are other countries that will or may release the movie when the release date arrives.

There is no mention of China...but there are expectations it will be shown there --

*they love action movies
*Lisa Joy Nolan is Eurasian ( half-Chinese in ancestry) and main antagonist Daniel Wu is Asian-American but whose films are popular in China.

Interesting that Japan is among the countries that will release it, but about a month later. This happens because they probably get the translated version at that time (only exception of Hugh movies was Les Miserables which had the then Crown Prince now Emperor Naruhito sitting next to Hugh at the premiere).

Too bad many countries are unable to release it in theaters due to current Covid-19 restrictions. HBO-MAX is not also generally available overseas. I have seen offers of a VPN technical solution that will allow one to mask country of origin and instead adopt a US IP address and allow the party to subscribe to HBO-MAX. Not sure how that works. I have also read that it can be seen at the highest level of subscription at HBO-MAX ( ad-free) so do check out if you have this option.

It is estimated that the earliest home video release (BluRay/DVD) will be in December.

I would have loved to have watched it on IMAX!

*Is it the Covid19 restrictions or fear of infection?
*Is it the choice of simultaneous or early streaming...or cheap home video ( DVD) months later?
*Is the theatrical choice no longer very attractive except for film buffs and/or those who want the whole works( watching it on IMAX).

If they are releasing movies with simultaneous streaming...why not allow early home video release?
