"Ya Got Trouble" - the showstopper number for Prof Harold Hill at the outset.
Performed by the man who originated the role, Robert Preston!

Show clips from the 2000 Revival of THE MUSIC MAN - with Craig Bierko and Rebecca Luker
Sadly, the leading lady, Rebecca Luker passed away last year due to ALS disease. She was about 39 yrs old when she portrayed Marian the Librarian.

The original Marian, Barbara Cook!
How Hugh would have loved to see her for his Opening Night! She was a great fan of Hugh Jackman.

I had a lovely, very memorable chat with Ms. Cook during intermission at one TBFO performance. She was, like so many of us, completely enthralled with Hugh in the show. She wanted to know how she could get hold of a "I (heart) Oz" pin like the one I was wearing. Very sweet and insanely talented woman.

I still have that pin. I usually wear it, with a small leopard animal brooch to match in size, when I see any of Hugh's shows The origin of the pin was that one of the early TBFO fans who helped organize the fans's side ( together with Matt Stocke from the cast) for the show's participation in the BC/EFA fundraising found a batch of them in some store ( not too many) and she thought it would be a great idea to sell them for the fund drive. Ahh...memories! I also had a chance to meet Ms. Cook - she was on my path as I walked away from the stagedoor. I said Hello and told her that I had seen her singing a Hugh song ( but with Michael Ball) on a taped royal command performance in London (" People Will Say We're In Love") and complimented her on it. I also saw her again in Sydney, as a guest of Hugh and Deb during one the shows in the TBFO arena tour. Hugh would have loved seeing her on Opening Night of The Music Man... sadly, she left us a few years back. Jo
