Only Hugh Jackman is missing of the 5 Grammy awardees for their work on THE GREATEST SHOWMAN soundtrack!
Those are Greg Wells, Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Alex Lacamoire.
Maybe we should also say Thanks to Michael Gracey for the way he guided and worked with Pasek and Paul on developing the musical score!

After this win, one tweeter asked --
"Why isn't this on Broadway yet ??"

This is going to be excellent publicity for Hugh's TheManTheMusicTheShow!! Er… hope he is not compelled to add more dates -- good for fans -- but he already has a 49-showdates schedule! www.hughjackmantheshow.com/

With Hugh's win at the Grammys, interesting discussions on the EGOT achievement. AwardsWatch did a historical/statistical analysis of the EGOT honorees and the EGOT-on-the-Cusp artistic, creative professionals awardswatch.com/2017/06/26/the-ultimate-egot-emmy-grammy-oscar-tony-list/After reading thru the individual accomplishments, sorry to say that I am honestly less than impressed with some of the ways the legendary EGOT status was achieved! *Interesting that there is a preponderance of songwriters, whose main work is to compose music for the 4 different artistic/creative arts. *One EGOT achieved his status simply by producing various works *Some achieved their status but only in supporting roles. *Some achieved their Grammy not through music but through a special award for SPOKEN work ( such as narrating a documentary or reading a literary work) If and when Hugh wins an Oscar and achieves the legendary EGOT stature, it would be a rarity in the sense that he wold have accomplished it in different facets of performing -- *Theatrical or live performance in musical theatre ( The Boy from Oz) *Hosting and performing in an awards show telecast for live TV ( The 2004 TONYs) *Performing as Principal/Lead Vocalist for the Grammy award winner THE GREATEST SHOWMAN *Presumably any potential Oscar for him will be for acting honors? Maybe I am too picky,...but if the EGOT is supposed to be a legendary and unique achievement, it should herald an artist's ability to show his talent and accomplishments in many different fields ( or at least in different works, if one can only contribute via one unique talent such as songwriting)! Talent and versatility, expressed in many different ways or different artistic accomplishments ( and not the same work in different mediums in which it is shown ). IMHO Jo

Hugh was too modest -- http://instagram.com/p/Btt3SDSnwhC When he shared the clip from the Grammys, he only showed the portion where The Greatest Showman was announced...but omitted mention of his name (the rest of the names were included). Instead he thanked the entire cast and crew and all the creatives involved The full announcement -- http://instagram.com/p/Btxc0XuFosV

I am SO happy his name was written by itself right under “The Greatest Showman”. No desire whatsoever on my part to belittle any of the other wonderful artists. But really, it WAS all his fault. Alma

Yes, per Grammy rules, Hugh Jackman qualified as an individual winner! Hence his name was cited as a Principal vocalist. He led the singing in 5 major songs (of 9 major songs) and part of 1 reprise (of 2 reprises). No other vocalist met the rule for an individual Grammy award. Jo

Maybe one of the major reasons why he's staying in Australia for a bit of time...before he flies back to NYC ( for the coming MusicMan lab work, the Global Citizen Festival, and maybe some media work for Bad Education?) --

So, is it Sir Hugh now Had this been awarded in the UK, that would have been his new title. But since Australia is a republican form of government, Hugh is still Hugh Will he style himself now as HUGH JACKMAN AC ? I remember one of the best stagedoor stories from TBFO days. An excited fan finally reached him, but too excited to even speak. Hugh said : "Don't be nervous -- It's only me!" Jo

Hugh Jackman is acknowledged by BroadwayWorld as one of the stars who ruled the decade. www.broadwayworld.com/article/10-Broadway-Stars-Who-Ruled-the-Decade-20191226But what a BIG omission on the part of BWW -- why is there no mention of his last Broadway appearance, THE RIVER ?? Yet they used a photo from The River in the article. Also, no mention that Hugh Jackman has been nominated for an Oscar for Les Misérables, won the Golden Globe for that role in the film adaptation and has won a GRAMMY for the soundtrack album of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN. Yet, all those types of acknowledgements were mentioned in the other bios. No mention either that Hugh Jackman has been given a 2nd TONY for his work on stage (presumably for the musical variety show Back On Broadway) and for his humanitarian effort in behalf particularly of BC/EFA. It may have also escaped their attention that The Greatest Showman became a worldwide success at the box office as well as in music charts or that Hugh has earned a Golden Globe nomination for the role. The BWW staff also mentions for the other artists more minor film participations yet no mentions of Hugh's last 2 biopics or a forthcoming movie ( while this is done for the others). Poor research by the BWW staff, it sounds like! Jo
