I disagree with making you feel bad. Alas maybe it depends who you connect to and resonate with more. It fucking aims to destroy you and its third act is fucking heartbreaking

If you’re a parent and your kid has been through anything like what was shown, then I get feeling bad. If you’re the kid, there’s nothing to feel bad about. Sorry.

I hope the slight dissing of THE SON had nothing to do with her admiration for THE WHALE

Seriously, is the objection that the movie did not fully explore what causes and what cures Mental illness --
well, it was not meant to do that at all! Zeller simply wanted to :

*open up the conversation about this societal issue
*based on my knowledge of the play -- the story's central viewpoint is how all the events affect Peter's behavior! To me, THE SON is more of a character study of Peter!
