 Glad to see Jason Reitman ( who directed Hugh in THE FRONT RUNNER) was there at TIFF. Hopefully his being in the company of HUgh and Florian Zeller has given him a deeper understanding of THE SON. Btw, Jason Reitman is a member of the new Board of Governors of the AMPAS! Jo |

Hugh has a history with Chris Hampton earlier than Zeller or Dern.
He wrote the book and adapted the lyrics TO SUNSET BOULEVARD. Remember how Trevor Nunn discovered Hugh in Sunset Boulevard in Australia and eventually cast him in Oklahoma! in London ( which led eventually to the Wolverine role)?
Hampton is a 2-time Oscar winner for his screenplays ( Les Liaisons Dangereuses & The Father).
