Most serious film fans do not think good actors should try different genres, including comedy. Why not, if the story is good and they have the skills for comedy?
I think we are no longer surprised - Hugh sometimes makes choices which we may not agree with at first - but eventually we appreciate his judgment. To me, the best example is Bad Education -- he doesn't even look like Tassone and to portray a double-dealing persona did not seem a right role fo him. But that turned out to be one of his best choices for a film role.

Wolverine in the comic books also sired a son, Daken, but he is somewhat troublesome. Will exploring his character also make the saga of the original clawed mutant help continue his legacy?
