While looking for a photo of the late LAUREN BACALL who might have attended Opening Night ( or did I confuse that with another and later Jackman show?) - I came across this Playbill photo vault from The Boy from Oz. www.playbill.com/multimedia/search/1984*Opening night photos ( interesting to see who came to see Hugh dazzle the audience on Opening Night) *Production photos *Cast photos And from another memory vault, here's one on Opening Night - Hugh and Deb at the Copacobana Opening Night Party! It doesn't seem as if the show opened on Broadway almost 11 years ago! But our ancestral forum was already alive and kicking in August of 2003 Jo

Was anyone able to save a copy of a short note by Hugh addressed to the Ozalots - it was taken by VocalLizzy, if I recall right, during the renaming of the Plymouth to the Schonfeld Theatre? I lost it when my computer crashed some time ago. Our true link to Hugh, in writing Jo Jo, I just stumbled across this very old request. I have an poor scan of it from The Red Board that I paired with a photo. Not great quality, but it's the only thing I have. I think this is what you meant - - If someone else has a better copy, would you please share with the group? Thanks.

Thanks, Valerie! Someone was also kind enough to send me a copy ...but yours was great with the accompanying photo. No problem with the message and its physical clarity - it was loud and clear I think he wrote the message around the time when the Schoenfeld Theatre was given its name. Jo

I remember that ceremony well. It was May 9, 2005. Hugh looked dashing and offered some kind comments about Jerry Schoenfeld. Dame Edna stuck her head out a window and made some funny remarks. I believe Hugh was about to go to England to do SCOOP, if I recall the timing correctly.

I believe she ran into him at a hotel at some point.

I know that. I was referencing Jo's comment about the renaming of theaters.

Someone recently sent me a link to Dee Anthony's obituary in The NY Times. I'd read it years ago but forgotten most of it. It goes on and on about Peter Frampton with only a mention of Peter Allen. Anyway, the question is, since Dee was alive and living in CT at the time TBFO was on Broadway - does anyone know if he ever attended the show?
