I'm coming up to NY this weekend to see Chaplin, Book of Morman, and Peter and the Starcatcher. Just wondering if anyone else was going to be around?

I'll be among those milling around the Broadway Flea Market on Sunday, both before and after I catch a matinee on the east side (the reading of the disco musical LAST DANCE). I'm sure others of us on the board will be at the flea market as well. Enjoy all the shows and have a great weekend.

Thanks, Ellen. My son saw Madonna this weekend and since I'm coming with him, he won't let me change the 10:00am train on Sunday. Usually we do 4 shows, but this weekend will only be 3. He has to get back to go to the Verizon theatre in DC to see her again. See, it runs in the family. Him Madonna, me Hugh ;D. Just remember since I can't be there, the Broadway auction is also on Sunday at 10. Wish we could meet. Maybe next trip!!

The show was scheduled for 8:00. She showed up at 10:30 and they got out at 12:30. My son got the $350 tickets for $100 at 8:10 in front of Boardwalk Hall. My backs been bothering me so I didn't want to stand for 2 hours. He said the show was 100% better then Sticky nd Sweet. The only thing she did was knock Lady Gaga a bit. He's got free tickets in the Mayor's box at Verizon Sunday, that's why I can't stay. I would love to go to the auction, but I don't know about the flea market. Where is it? Definitely will do it next time. Thinking of going on Friday when we get in to a little coffee shop in Tribeca. Too bad there's no chance of seeing anyone, but I would really like to see the shop and donate some $$$ for coffee(I don't really drink it).

Jackie, the flea market is held in Shubert Alley and on 44th St. between Broadway and 8th Ave. Last year it stretched along B'way/7th Ave. for a few blocks, too.
Your son was lucky to score such good tix at a great discount--and fortunately, they were valid. Sometimes con artists try to peddle phony tickets that will not scan when one tries to enter the venue. Glad that was not the case!

As far as the tickets go, Ceasars is right there. They give them to high rollers that could care less about the entertainment. It says Caesars Comp on the tickets. When Streisand was touring, he really didn't want to go, but I think everyone should see her at least once in a lifetime. He got $750 tickets outside Boardwalk Hall for $50 each. We know you can't do it everywhere, but in AC if you get hard copy, not paper downloaded tickets, you are usually OK. He doesn't have tickets yet for Sunday, but he's still looking online. He can always go down to the Verizon Center, but it's more of a crap shoot there. That's what we do when we really want a certain Broadway ticket, because for Saturday shows, they usually turn them in on Thursday. As a matter of fact, that's how I got my Row A's for BOB, for 12-23-12. We were on a cruise ship coming into Bayonne, got on the computer and up they popped. Yes, I did have to pay $350 for those, but I couldn't help myself ;D. That's why I'm in saving mode now .

Thanks, Nevaeh777, I didn't know that. We were going to go to Tribeca, but now I guess we have to head there. We arrive early on Friday, and don't have anything that we have to be at till 8:00 (Chaplin). Maybe we'll do both, who knows . But, thanks for the valuable info. BTW, does anyone know if they're going to do a show called "Last Dance"? I thought I read it somewhere.

Just a quick post. I have been sick for the last few weeks. We were supposed to be coming to broadway the weekend of 6/15/14. I am too sick to travel and have turned in all my tickets except the ones for 3:00 PM on 6/15/14. The producers won't even do a refund with a doctors note. I have 2 tickets for Beautiful in the first row. They are seats A104 and A106. The shows are supposed to be sold out. If anyone is interested in seeing this show then, can you please PM me. It really breaks my heart to sell them as well as meeting my Aussie girlfriend that is coming in for the Tony's. Some things jut aren't meant to be.

Jackie,
I'm so sorry to hear that you've been sick. It's too bad that you won't be able to enjoy the plays and meeting up with your friend, but most importantly, I hope you'll feel better soon. Take care.

Jackie,
So sad to read you are not feeling well and have had to cancel your Broadway plans. But I join ALL the Ozalots (I'm sure) in wishing you a speedy and complete recovery.
Hugs. <hug>
