An OZalots Meeting!

You cannot imagine how THRILLED I was to find out recently that Nevaeh and I actually lived within an hour of each other!! So today, since I had a doctor's appointment there, we met up in Cambridge, and had a few precious minutes together!! We took a couple of photos, thanks to my aunt Kate (who drove me to the appointment), talked for a few minutes, and have made plans to get together for a day soon!!

I'm so excited - what a birthday present!! Nevaeh is as awesome in person as she is on the board, and our time was just TOO short. I can't wait to get together again!

And I was also able to share my fantastic birthday present with her, which I got yesterday. My friend Lisa, also a Hugh fan, went to the Broadway Flea Market a few weeks ago, and she found a fleece hoodie from Boy from Oz!!! My jaw dropped when I opened it! It's a fuzzy black fleece, with the logo of the show on the left-hand side - but I imagine a lot of you know that already. I was not able to see the show, sadly, but now I feel like I have a small connection to it!

I forgot to say, if you look closely, you'll see my T-shirt has the World Robot Boxing logo on it! LOL! I got it from the Redbubble site (a great place for T-shirts), and it's a bit large and baggy (I overestimated the size!), but I love it anyway!

Barbara, it was so amazing getting to meet up with you today, if only for a short while! I'm so glad it worked out for both us in our schedules to do this! Thank you so much for the lovely compliment, but now it's my turn. You have the most beautiful and caring heart Barbara. You also have an incredible strength and courage in the midst of your chronic health issues and even while enduring that, you inspire others around you. It was so great to actually give you a birthday hug today in person instead of just sending you an emoticon through the board LOL! Sometimes we don't realize the burdens each one of us is carrying and yet we come to this board and find a caring "family" here. It's so uplifting and it's a heartwarming experience when we actually reach out and connect in the real world!

Barbara, myself and "renner" are all saving our pennies in the hopes to see Hugh in "Houdini" when it comes to NY in 2014. Yet, at the same time, there's an excitement building in our hearts that we're finally going to meet up with family there, when we get a chance to give out hugs to all of you!

Nevaeh, your heart and your sunshine made me feel as if we had known each other for ages already. It was short, but our first meeting certainly was sweet! Can't wait to see you again!! :-*

I have aalso talked to Barbara and Nevaeh, and maybe when Houdini hit, we could coordinate some kind In NY for all of the Ozalots. I know it's just a thought right now, but maybe with a little work, we could make this little thought become reality. Wouldn't if be fantastic if we all could be at one show together?Can you even imagine that?It never hurts to dream
