A signal honor!
A portrait of Hugh Jackman in the Australian National Portrait Gallery!
My first impression --
the kindness in his eyes!
PS: The video for the most part is about the artist's inspiration in capturing a true portrait of this remarkable Aussie!

^ Hugh’s eyes don’t look that bad in real life though, in my opinion. (I mean the bags and wrinkles)

http://instagram.com/p/CPxp6WIDIk5 Lol - not a child of the tropics. Best coconuts to eat and drink the sweetest juice is when the husk is still (light) green! Some of the best fruit salad -- Combine the young coconut meat with fresh fruits ( lychees, mango, banana, melon, etc) with heavy cream and condensed milk (aka caramelized) Or simply eat the young and soft coconut meat ( right from the husk) with vanilla ice cream -- very refreshing! He's gotten to the inner nut ( which is where the grated meat produces coconut milk used to flavor many recipes comes from... or it is dried and turned into copra). Coconut milk is a key ingredient to many Southeast Asian cooking ( meat, fish or vegetable-based) as it works like the Western world's heavy cream. It is also basic to many rice-based & other dessert delicacies, including a luscious sweet pie. Btw, nothing is wasted - the brown husk that Hugh has been able to pry off -- that can either be turned into a foot-operated floor polisher or be used as fuel for roasting stuff like fish ( excellent because it has oil in it, which makes the fuel burn brighter). Technically, it is the copra ( dried nut) which has served many purposes -- coconut oil, not sure if virgin coconut oil is extracted as this stage or earlier, base for soap, candies, etc., which is why copra is heavily exported to other countries. Inside the tree trunk is what is called the heart of palm ( which is a Southeast Asian delicacy). Come Palm Sunday ( the start of Easter week) - the young leaves turn into Hosanna leaves, while the older leaves has a middle part that can be completed as a broom. When the tree dies after decades and decades, the trunk can be turned into cheap plywood or as charcoal. No wonder the coconut is called The Tree of Life. We have lost a lot, as many recent hurricanes/storms ( like Haiyan) plowed down thousands and thousands of mature trees. Plus - it looks great on a postcard to lure tourists to come over Btw, my country (the Philippines) used to be ranked as the world's largest in coconut production until it was overtaken by Indonesia. It thrives best in the humid tropics.

Was thinking same thing! Expression is captured well- but while Hugh's crows feet are pronounced (and charming) here they are drawn way too deeply. , ^ Hugh’s eyes don’t look that bad in real life though, in my opinion. (I mean the bags and wrinkles)

He shared another photo on his Instagram Stories showing him creating his own bow .. with what looks like a pliant reed from the bamboo family -- young bamboo that has been cut? Hugh is real nature lover. He can probably survive in the wilderness using his many skills and imagination Jo

He bows right-handed! But probably they didn’t have a left-handed bow. Nancy
