Of all places, Perth is where Hugh Jackman honed his training in dramatic theatre.  Now they seem not to fully understand or comprehend what is behind the funny Instagram posts by Hugh Jackman What they printed -- Btw, I did not know that Jodie Comer was a 2023 TONY award winner for her role in PRIMA FACIE. It seems she & Hugh do share a few things in common. She is from the UK while Hugh has dual citizenship, incl British citizenship due to parentage. Robin Hood, though from England ( Sherwood Forest, Nottingham - are those real places?) was best played & remembered with actor Errol Flynn, a fellow Australian of Hugh. Jo |

A report on the Box Office performance in the USA of DLFurness's movie FORCE OF NATURE : THE DRY 2 from Box Office Mojo -- DLF did a special screening & Q&A at Lincoln Center, as well as at Greenwich Village IFC theaters with co-star Eric Bana. Results show box office receipts Worldwide/ Autralia/USA/Other Countries.The film budget was supposed to be Australian $ 10 Million or about US $ 6.6 Million. The share of theaters/cinemas in the receipts is in general about 50%-50%. I do not know actual sharing in Australia. www.boxofficemojo.com/title/tt20256448/The movie was initially released in 161 theaters in the USA for which it earned in the first 3 days about US$ 36,000. By the second week, it had earned about US$ 22,700 for seven days ( I do not know if it was still screeening at 161 theaters). It seemed that the movie was pulled out of theaters after 10 days because of poor box office showing... so that its total US box office receipts were US $ 58,700!The production budget of US $6.6 million does not include marketing budget. Even on a worldwide basis, the film did not break even -- given the presumed production budget ( excluding marketing expenses)! Jo |
